And it seems the ultimate goal is to gaslight citizens to further justify surveillance, not because they need to, but to have more "evidence" to ensure the citizenry police themselves and each other so they have less to worry with. This also benefits pharma corps as advances in such industry would hurt their imaginary profits for the imaginary system, who's really only currency is control and suffering in reciprocations unending. Perhaps they all have worms on the brain, or were body snatched by aliens or demons. I would settle for that over typical greed and stupidity. I would say it was the vaccine, but evidence points to them always being this indifferent and swarthy in each empire that has ever risen and fallen. Always the same canned explanations and statements through headlines for decades. The people never question. Perhaps bots themselves. Anyway cute algo pull for engagement. By that I mean the events come and go about to cause problems where they weren't needed. Gotta stimulate the fictitious economies afterall for- well really they don't have plans. Just parasites that kill the hosts and then die. Or maybe incompetence is a kill switch of evolution for societal/colony based organisms. You end up with enticing individuals within a species that manage to collapse everything as per their design to "preserve" the collective ecosystem. Or maybe it is a disease without category yet. Anyway they balance invalidating dissent with oppressive countermeasure as much as possible. Shame they cant use their talents for something useful. But dont worry, they will tell you to get a job and be part of your community while they destroy everything along the way to prevent even that or any joy ever concerning it, or your accomplishments. They will always hold onto meaningless philosophies in secrecy too and ignore you at all opportunity.
