I've been a NEET/borderline hikki for about 8 years now, nearly 9 I think. Time becomes meaningless after a while of being a neet.
I at least get disabilitybux (schizo) though so that helps. I just play vidya all the time and read and write as a sidehustle.

My mom is elderly and barely gets by on her pension, dad left a long time ago and have no idea if he's alive or dead. As for the rest of the family we all grew up very poor and they are still also living paycheck to paycheck.

The thing that is fucked up with this system (swefag) is that you become a leper if you do not have good references from your boss. I've been mass sending references to every company that is hiring (I'm talking things like callcenter hells and factory line work). I get so far as the first interview, but after handing in my references they ghost me. It doesn't matter that I worked 10 years for the company; 1 bad word from my previous boss is enough. I'm gonna try to check if I can get into any trade school through the unemployment office, that will at the very least give a couple of months of benefits.
