The NCMEC has been reporting europoors for years and we've ignored it, but with the texas loli ban they're now also mass-reporting that kind of content, and recently changes have been made in multiple nordic countries. In some of them "depiction of children wether fictional or realistic in sexualized manner is criminal". I think that one is iceland? In my country starting with July, they've criminalized "animated cp" which is mainly AI, but it also describes "other visusual forms" where "if it looks realistic enough, no distinction is made whether it's fictional or a real abuse."
Some of this is because Europol has launched something called the CSA-task-force since 2022, which is why everyone's yelling about "Chat Control" on Reddit now. They're putting in client-side scanning on all devices sold in the EU soon, so that even when you're not doing anything, your phone will scan in the background for images hashed in the NCMEC database, and report you if you have something that matches.
With the texas loli ban that makes it very dangerous to view even Pixiv now, which is probably also why they've just made an update to keep americans and europeans from browsing it.
This is also what the whole Online Safety Act and Age Verification laws are for. They wanna ID your system to your person, so once they have enough metadata, they'll know exactly who in the nearby telecoms network was looking at any type of "CSAM".
