Wisps across plains, in ships, in space, in infested hellscapes, in frozen tundras, through deserts, on the sea, in the air, I love every act of Wisp that can occur upon this earth.

I love blasting the enemy to smithereens with Bramma salvos that thunder across the lines of battle. My heart leaps with joy whenever a Grineer is tossed high into the air and cut to pieces by well placed explosive rounds. And there is nothing like an operator using a hardened wellspring to buff her motes. And the feeling that comes when a Corpus runs screaming from his irradiated MOA, only to be mowed down by heavy kitgun fire, is such an exquisite feeling. Reminiscent of when ranks of infantry brandish their prods rushing into the enemy line. It moves me deep within my heart to watch a Wisp meleeing over and over into the bloated chest of a long-dead enemy.

Gentlemen... All I ask for is Wisp butt, Wisp butt so grand as to make Hell itself tremble. Gentlemen, I ask you as fellow brothers in arms what is it that you really want? Do you wish for further Wisp as I do? Do you wish for a merciless, bloody Wisp? A Wisp whose fury is built with iron and lightning and fire? So one more thing to add on to this, there is another bug with Huras Kubrow Stalk precept where if you dismount Merulina while under effect of Stalk Yareli's model permanently disappears until death or leaves the mission and she is considered permanently stealthed until she dies leaves the mission. This is somewhat distracting but, importantly, does not happen with Shade's similar precept. There are other issues with buff inheritance between Yareli and Merulina too, though I do not have specifics at the moment. Regardless, it shows there is a pretty big problem here that DE seemingly cannot resolve easily. I do expect Huras Kubrow Stalk bug to be fixed with Isleweaver, assuming DE even bothered to pay attention to the reports on the forum. Regarding actions DE can take if they do not want to do more work on making K-Drive experience more featureful, at least they could give a lingering Merulina Protection buff on dismount for the cases where Merulina bugs make interacting with normal gameplay difficult or impossible. Like reviving teammates. I should not have to spend mod slots on alternative defenses (e.g. shield gate) when my ability kit is supposed to provide that functionality. If I am shield gating then what use is Merulina damage redirection? Merulina is surely not strong enough as a mobility tool to justify all the limitations without at least the supposed utility of the damage redirection.

At least they finally fixed the problem where if you zoom out on the star chart you couldn't switch to Resource Drones from Nightwave so I guess there is that. What a travesty of UI.

I'm not sure, and it could also be a placebo effect that you hit the dps cap, and it would have cleared up whether or not you stop doing damage. Even if there's no mechanical difference, stopping shooting will make you feel better about your damage numbers; and since DPS is capped, it's not like you're losing DPS by pausing your damage, just changing when you do it and hitting the cap again.

Have definitely noticed it. You can test out a Mesa's Regulators against a Techrot Babau Eximus, I watched my shots go down in digits until I was doing <100 damage per shot, even on red crits.
Leaving and coming back later seemed to restart the process.

As far as I know, it's literally a function of time even when it works as expected. It's possible that after a few seconds of hitting 10s that you'd still reset back to normal damage even if you didn't stop, but at that point you may as well save yourself the ammo/energy. Whatever's actually going on under the hood, the objectively correct decision is to stop attacking.

The anti-crit perks used to apply after attenuation for (some? all? idk) enemies, but that was changed partway through 2024. According to the wiki, some enemies with damage attenuation have specific parts in their formula makes crits have better reduction than non crits. I don't know if that applies to the new attenuation style where you wanna stop shooting enemies.

The liberal aspects of 1999 were minimal. Shoehorned shit was mostly ignored. Vague shit was only through implications. 1999 wasn’t perfect, but in a general design aspect, especially visual, it was better than other chapters. Better lighting, more detailed tilesets with more furniture, decent soundtrack, and generally felt more alive. It even has the best hub (mall).

Meanwhile, everything else is empty hallways that made little sense, and mostly just randomized junctions snapped together. The stories also have very little depth in the star chart. There’s very little character life. Maroo, Vay Hek, and Darvo are literally the only characters with an active background, as they still exist in the game world.

I'm a Merulina-only Yareli main and it just sounds like you have autism. Most of the bugs are pretty inconsequential or extremely rare, and the only things that I really want fixed are the subsume thing, the door thing, or even better, making her not lose momentum when she bumps into things OR making her forwards dash give her full momentum like bullet jumps do.
As for everything else, she's already ludicrously powerful, carrier+pistol scavenger deals with ammo on all but the hungriest weapons, she has 90% DR and nigh-revenant levels of spammable invincibility, the biggest firing speed and reload buff in the entire game, great damage amp, grouping that you don't even need most of the time, etc. Certainly eating a lot better than most of the frames in this game, aside from the awkward movement.

Depends on what content you're using the frame for. Also depends on the frame and preferences imo, since emeralds can give you armour strip without the cost of an ability slot.
Mostly I'd look at what ability stats the frame already has, like how much range/duration/strength/efficiency is already on there and whether those allow for better use of Roar or of armour strip. Roar is also nice over a bad 4 because of Precision Intensify.
Survivability also matters, I'd rather stick Evade or Gloom on some flimsier frames and pair it with some emeralds. Can't really do damage when you're trying not to die.

majority of the time roar is better, armor strip should be outsourced to companions if you really need it, or brute forcing with priming secondary + strong primary/melee. in the past it was really important to have some kind of armor strip because of how enemy armor scaled, now its hard capped at 90% reduction so even the armor reduction from heat procs will let your damage scale if you also have viral/priming/companion.

Thanks! I was running Roar on Valkyr and Gyre, but was considering Flame Blast. As of right now Valk, survivability is a non-issue (we'll see after the rework), but my shards are typically violets here. Thinking about it, I probably don't actually need the strip since I'm running a cat and melee exposure anyway, but the knockdown and brainless ability use to keep exposure up sounds nice.

Gyre on the other hand is the real question here because she does have the ability power to juice up a roar, but it doesn't take long into endless SP before armor starts creeping. Flame Blast has actually been alright in my testing and the knockdown really helps with survivability when combined with gatling. It's just hard to tell what's actually better, and I've considering farming up a second Jade to subsoom for Eyes.

I honestly don't get why everyone put 2 emerald shards on everything. It's really unneeded since armor is hard capped at 2700 for enemies. Which means that with 10 corrosive proc and a heat proc, you already strip 90% armor leaving only 48% damage reduction (x1.9 health). Without the heat proc it's 64% (x2.8) and with only heat proc it's 81% (x5.5). But the thing is, viral is straight up x4.25 damage on most enemies.

They're all either immune to corrosive full stripping or have a status cap limit which is not bypassed by emeralds (and would barely matter anyway). Other than maybe saryn, I can't see an argument for wasting 2 slots on emerald and building for corrosive with a viral primer. It's not even a fun build to play at all.

Get what you want from the open worlds and fuck off these islands until you need something else. Deimos in specific has the helminth system and Panzer as best things from there.
Zariman and the second deimos hub has incarnons, very strong weapons.
Zariman has incarnon adapters which are the strongest weapons in the game, but it needs to complete duviri circuit in steel path, and you are capped at 2 choices from 5 weapons or rivens/kuva each week, some adapters are much better than others.
Unlock steel path but grab arbitrations mods before trying to clear this.
Zariman/1999 has very good endo rates per bounties.
Look at new damage, they changed some stuff on their statuses, armor on enemies is capped at 90% so corrosive projection is not BIS and health got increased so slash is not the only king, don't remember if by 2018 you had the melee overhaul of combos/channeling.

I'm sorry to be that guy but the formula for enemy armor changed with the armor rework that added the cap. They don't follow our formula anymore.
It's now 0.9* sqrt(Armor/2700) which means that they actually only have 40% damage reduction with 10 stacks of corrosive instead of of 64% and 28% with corrosive heat. One of the quirk of this new formula is that a heat proc is stronger now than 10 corrosive stack would be with the old formula. 63% dr.
