It's not as hard as you'd think. There are functionally two explo groups running in parallel right now who go through 15+ maps a week each some old many new. Using tools like the english and jp world map tag on twitter or the several different world search sites can yield a lot. Another thing you can do is use the vrc tag system. Just click on the tags when looking at a map in game and look at other maps tagged with that. Similarly if you see a map made by someone click on their profile and scroll down to their other maps. There are a few tricks of the trade but you can very quickly find hours and hours of random interesting worlds to see. I've spoken with people about this before but there is a difficult to describe feeling coming across maps with tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of visits that now sit dormant with almost nobody remembering them. Being the first one to set foot in them after months or years feels like rediscovering lost places and keeping them alive if only in memory. If all else fails there is the random feature which is hit or miss since there are a lot of shit worlds but it's still an option.

Running Amalfi Drive with some Italian cars in Assetto Corsa tonight at 8PM ET (in ~5.5h).

It seems some of you using Quest3 but curious about the Pico4U. As a user, my conclusion is: Unless you specifically want to experience Pico's affordable, convenient, and effective three-point full-body tracking, there's absolutely no need to switch from your Quest3. This device is really only suitable for Asian users.
If the price you pay for it (PCVR, Pico tracking) becomes comparable to similar products—or even just marginally cheaper—it loses its value. Its most compelling advantage lies in being the budget-friendly option.
For instance, in Asia, you can buy the P4P with equally excellent face tracking capabilities at just one-third the price of the Quest Pro, but elsewhere the two seem similarly priced. Unless you can secure it at this price point, it’s simply not worth it.

I finished my scrape of vrcw.net's database of vrchat world metadata. It has 236,593 worlds, with upload date distribution in picrel. It also has world name, author name, and tags (both in original japanese, and translated back to english through PLaMo, which I glanced over and they seem reasonable). Compresses to 11MB of parquet. You can query the data yourself with duckdb:

or download it and query with pyarrow or whatever. I also scraped most of the world thumbnails which you can download at https://file.vrg.party/vrcw-scrape-images-2025-06-11.zip (3.5 GB).

This isn't that useful as is since it's missing other metadata like player limit, assetbundle size, view and favorite count, etc. However, it might still be useful as is if you want to, say, take screenshots with world ids in the title and resolve them to an actual world name, or do some basic queries with tags and world names. The important part for me is the world ids themselves, which I can now use to scrape the actual vrchat API for the rest of the metadata. I dunno what vrchat rate limits requests to, but assuming a conservative 1rps, it'll take another day or so.

Anomaly Runner: It's that corridor 88 or whatever game where you go back if you see something different and forward if it looks the same. 3D spot the difference.

Boom boom hamster. It's worms. The controls are actually pretty smooth and it's very playable.

Boxing Machine VR: Looks okay and plays okay but the difference between 'block' and 'dodge' is the color of a screen behind the robot you're supposed to be looking at. It REALLY should have the signal on the glove or on the face of the robot. While there's only the demo it's kinda slow even on the highest difficulty.

Closer look: snap turning and controller movement only, the only puzzle is why I didn't exit the game earlier

Mirror light: Competent mirror light reflection game. It's fine but I think it'd benefit from mirrors not being the whole game

What happened in standing mode was that the handles would be in the right place for a fraction of a second and then immediately jump up to near my head. I playspace moved up to be in the right place. Then when I grabbed the handles, both my hands grabbed the handle on the left. Then I look up and it tells me I just lost.
When I tried seated mode I tried my best to stay still but it was too sensitive even for that so I gave up.
