It's a bit distressing to think it's been 6 years since Chapter 1 first came out... But other than that, I've had a great time with it! Gameplay wise, I don't think it could be more of an objective improvement from Undertale's systems. If I were to suggest a sixth pokemon, Diancie seems fitting enough. Pink, pretty, girly, maybe more. And Sweetheart deserves a truly special pokemon because she's a major boss encounter. Keep in mind Sunny dreamed of killing himself presumably every single night. You can pre-emptively wake Sunny up by having Omori stab himself in White Space, which is a strong indicator that this is the usual for him, while stuff like waking up after Black Space is the unusual. And considering he can actually go through with it after two button presses with minimal hesitation on Sunny's part, Sunny wasn't exactly in the most stable of places. And he carries that knife around almost all the time. The only reason he never killed himself until any of the bad endings is that he was just that mentally shut down and repressed that he could exist as is.
I don't think Mari would be doing any better, but if she could just give up as hard as Sunny did, she could probably survive those years. Probably.

It's another interesting addition to the idea of Headspace being real and so are the characters in it when they can notice some of the oddities in the world. Black Space even has a role in Sprout Mole history, their ancestors digging too deep into the world and finding the Deep Pit which swallowed the majority of their kind.
