That's my assumption, and another thing I'm assuming is that we should be getting the S3 BO/HO tree at some point, and when we do I think EX skills will be taken away but then we'll be able to unlock them through said S3 tree, and to be able to access the tree, or at least some of its most important nodes, we'll need progress on the Epitaph dungeons.
S3 complicates things a bit, but that means more stats as well.

I think I'm gonna make a new and final character. That Crimson Desert game looks pretty interesting and his "class" is literally an Assassin from DDDA. Sword and Shield + Bow. So I might make a Warfarer and only play Fighter + Ranger using both Dullahan and Seamless Warfarer Updated

I'll probably play it more casually and slowly than my other playthroughs, probably get through a few quests every day, 100%'ing the entire game. I'll probably complete the game around TGS. And if TGS has a DLC announcement, I'll keep playing, but if they don't, I'll finally drop this series.

I've already got 800 hours in DD2. Another 800+ or more in DDDA.
I've pretty much exhausted it, both vanilla and with mods. I could only see myself completing it several more times if we got a DLC. It would need to be years and years and years for me to replay it again.

that's my point actually, all it means is you just wait some time and then you'll come back to them. But also, DD2 definitively has a better mod scene than DD1 given the different engine and if there's people autistic enough to keep pleading capcom for a dlc, to the point they made a twitter movement about it, i'd say there's gonna be new mods coming for a while still. Hell you can pretty much overhaul the whole game with the mods that are already there, and iirc they still haven't got in adding new content

Some things have changed, a part of the S3 BO/HO tree is available now and to get there you might need S3 main quest progress now.

You can definitely solo Epitaph anon, you just might not be able to do some trials and that means losing out on a bit of HO and some crests here and there, but you can do it solo + pawns, my experience only applies to the 1st of the 4 Epitaph dungeons though, I'm not sure if the upcoming ones will somehow be too hard for solo play, but I doubt it.

My net troubles continued after the match so I couldn't post until now. Rather unfortunate we didn't quite pull off the win because of that Grigori miss, but we were definitely the better team and we're still sitting pretty on 4 points. Our final opponent next weekend is /smbg/, who are an auto that don't seem that good, but does have an ability to suddenly pull goals out of nowhere. Honestly hard to say even after all this time.
But Simples are the ones that talk about random animals and breakable stuff and if they're hungry or not the most.
Kindhearteds gently put other pawns down, and are kind of "Arisen knows best". I feel they rarely start conversations.
Calms and Straightforwards I'm less sure about. Calms scold others (the usual one is if a Straightforward sits down) and I think they gossip the most. Straightforwards are kind of just generally bossy, and talk about gear and such.

They're weapons from the current event, you need 100 tickets (golden palace) per weapon, You've got a few days to farm these though, when you do get enough tickets you have to go to Gregory on WDT's shopping district alley and exchange the tickets for a weapon.

Board quests and WQs mostly, now that the board quests are random there isn't really a specific strat to level up.

Spirit Lancer was introduced in Season 2, so it does start asking for Season 2 enemies for JT early on, have you tried using the JT document on the news post? it might still help you a bit, if not you'll have to play a bit more to be able to level up your stuff.

The Spirit Lancer job master is in Dana, that's is on the Season 2 area, you'd need quite a bit of main story progress to get there naturally, but you could ask a a high level player to take you there, I'd help you out if you were on Dogma Rising.

I'm guessing these are some ddon.org specific event drops, sorry, you'd have to ask DDON players.

Gear is by far the most important factor in your damage, but skills help a bit too, as long as you use LV6 skills you should be mostly OK though, your vocation is support oriented anyway.

Support and decent-ish damage, eventually you'll get the best stamina regen skill (Wall Glasta T) in the game, that's arguably your best support skill, Cure Glasta is decent too, specially when you combine it with Heal Boost to increase your and your party's damage.

DDON is grindy as fuck, even grindier than the original game, that server's admin just really likes his grind, there's other reasons why it sucks but that's the most important reason, the insane grind and that admin's refusal to take feedback on mostly anything made me drop that server and switch to Dogma Rising.

Basically a few skills can have EX skills versions, which can be T or P, these EX skills are always better than the original "base" skill, you unlock these at LV9 and LV10 of the skill respectively, but you'll unlock these a lot later (around the time you get to LV80+) so for now don't worry too much about it.

Ideally the in-game Area List should help you with understanding what enemies and loot is in each area, but in my experience the servers aren't always that accurate to that in-game info.

after going back and playing the game multiple times I think my only complaint is that the pawn AI is 2 dumb. and when you have a game the is based around having pawns it drags everything else down. I was just about to fight a mob of monsters so I tell my pawns to attack but am on a hill. so instead of attacking they do nothing. so i throw a pawn down and jump down myself knowing the fall damage is nothing. instead of the other pawns with better maneuvering skills jumping down they run all the way a mile across the map to show up to the fight late and brought around every other single enemey on the map with them thus killing me. I think that from now on I will just play with no pawn.

Turning on GPU scheduling improved things a fair bit, though not perfect. Which makes sense, because it is offloading things from the cpu. Sure, I am running a 5700x, but holy shit, not a single other game is this bad, not even Wilds. Plus now I noticed in the distance there is some crazy shadow flickering going on. Leveling is not so different at first, once you get to LV80 on Rising you'll level up faster than you would on ddon.org, there's also a ring that boosts XP from kills by 50% for any vocation once you hit LV90 with any vocation, so you can level up other vocations faster.
But the real difference is in BO, you get way, way more in Rising, and you'll need a lot of it for the new stuff.

I love Fighter. They're incredibly fluid. You can charge up a Tusk Toss in the middle of any other attack and combo attacks together better than any other Vocation. Blink Strike into Tusk Toss can then be combo'd into Heavensward Slash, allowing you to hit the enemy already in the air.
Plus they have timed block parries and their executions look cool. Things like Shield Bash also never get old, rag dolling goblins around.

I also enjoyed Ranger on PS5 because they have Gyro Aiming. Which is just a load of fun no matter what in my opinion. It's fun shooting harpies out of the sky or shooting some schizo'ing Cyclopses eye mid combat or a dragons heart while they're flying and aerial nuking your party only for your arrow shot to throw them into the ground.


Warrior is cool too. I enjoy the power fantasy, but some of their recovery frames are insane. Some anons love them. Some hate them.

There's a new "official" spot to farm PP in Feryana Wilderness on CH4, though I'm not sure if it's worth it over Zandora Chapel in CH4.
TP to Lookout Castle: Castle Gate Exterior port crystal and run to the waterfall in the map, there's 5 LV90 enemies there, a huge Living Armor (180 PP), a Great Living Armor (100 PP), a Living Armor (80 PP), a Great Death Knight, and a Ghost Mail (80 PP).
So that's a total of 540 PP, and you get the usual CH4 loot from the Death Knight, so 750 BO and some Starry Sky Scrolls, I don't think this is better than Zandora Chapel honestly.

I checked it out earlier, its mostly the same mobs but kicked up to level 90, including the WQ Ent and Mole Troll duo. One of the trolls was missing and instead they brought back the Chimera from the regular channel with an Ogre. And I think Mogok got one of those titles that makes him bigger but he's still a pushover. How do you currently feel about DD2? I only got 50 Hours out of it compared to DD-Dark Arisen where I got 237 Hours on PC alone and I played probably the same on Console. I was considering giving DD2 another shot, but remembering that loot is Static I sort of hesitate. One of the best things about starting over was when you found something you haven't seen before in an early dungeon and the pivot into trying something new that followed. I never really got that sense in feeling in DD2

In dd2 good gears are locked behind dungeon chests so the game encourage you to explore instead of stabbing yourself 20 times in the heart.

Also you say "dungeon chests" as if they're any different than any normal chest found in the game, they're just in specific places with specific loot (again like every other normal chest in the game), and that's wack. If you want to go this way then only do it for enemies, as in specific enemies have this specific gear that's a guaranteed drop but on the flipside you have to defeat them first, not for chests you can always get to by skipping everything and then bail out, like people do in souls games. Otherwise bring back the semi random loot you can get from everywhere like in DD1, even the random trash piles (which idk about you but that sounds like a way better incentive to explore once you understand that even random piles can have cool gear)

A lot of people who didn't play the first game or a lot of people who only played the first game after DDDA. All of them completely high on expectations that were never going to make it, especially since the first game was always a diamond in the rough. Of course that's no excuse for the poor sequel, they are partially right and DD2 was 100% a missed opportunity. It could have been the next big Open World Action RPG. It could have been the one to set the standard for ages to come. The game has an absolutely fantastic base to build upon. And there are moments in the game that are absolutely kino. It could have been amazing, instead it's just okay.
