I never actually noticed, I skip fights because the game is too long to actually repeat them. I think Darumi is pretty lucky on fights since she's one of the only starter fighters in route 0 and doesn't happen to die/leave early in it either. There are characters like Ima that I essentially never got to use well because in route 0 his window to use him is tiny.

Honestly I wouldn't expect either. I'd be shocked if more than like 5% of people were actually fighting when they got the option to skip. Designing enemies and such is going to be a lot of work and I don't think most people will even appreciate it, I would expect like 1 new boss in a route at most. As far as player scaling goes you're already busted in this game, it's rare to find an enemy wave you can't clear in 1 turn unless it's one of the many bullshit fights where you clear the wave and it says "you're too fast, end turn 2 times because we have like 10 more 1 health minions to spawn in waves the next 2 turns".

Being the glue isn't about actively taking the spotlight all day long. Have you not paid attention to any of the scenes where she tells her stories and hypes the literal entire group up? I already explained it, she is both strong and very cheerful so her presence in the group at all helps people feel safe that someone like that is on their side.
If you want a specific example, sure Romance is perfect. In that route, conflict comes up because people have dreams about kissing each other, and she's the one that stops them from fighting and bickering and comes up with a system so people can figure out their feelings and make everything work out. She goes out of the way to moderate and guide them all for the whole route, and keep everyone from hurting each other, and when someone gets depressed she's the first one that shows up to cheer them up and help them recover
I should also mention pic rel. there's a route where she IS the one to help with the nozomi x kurara drama. She helps plan the beach training session to get them to work it out together. it's explicitly a plan she comes up with to get them to make up.
