I got bored of the music so I usually play with my own during missions. I originally had just one playlist but I felt it didn't quite fit the theme for a lot of missions, so now I have a playlist for each faction. For bugs it's a mix of psytrance and dark synthwave, for bots it's prog rock and aggrotech and for squids its space rock like Hawkwind.

When I use it I'm always thinking like "why did I not just bring the Senator/Verdict/Talon/GP instead."

Thermites are cool against heavies, but predators have less heavies. Gas or some other AoE would do you better.
500kg isn't necessary for BT holes, even a gas strike has enough demolition force.
The MMG can be hip fired but if you're so uncomfortable with it why not bring a stalwart, or some other CC weapon? The only enemy the MMG handles better is the shield bugs and they're honestly the easiest bugs to ignore.
And I cannot emphasize just how shit the pacifier is. Even the stock liberator will atleast kill bugs until you run out of ammo, the pacifier takes an entire mag and a few second of uninterrupted mag dumping to kill even one stalker.

Like Armed Resupply pods, for example. It turns resupply pods into a mini turret, which is pretty cool, but it has some problems.

Haven't had the chance to play firebots that much , but I think those are the only ones with an actual difference in spawns, that one being...no berserkers, the barely an annoyance enemy. Well maybe they have better firepower (haha fire) but less rush potential so cover and taking it slow is even more important, except it isn't due to jihadi flamers and the hulk mortars taking that role anyway.

It can't kill anything immediately, so anything in close range needs to be baby sat with stuns, or just not touch the guy that's shooting flames. You can throw gas ontop of it, or put like a bubble shield on it. But if you watch it flame a charger it's kinda painful.
