The gameplay just doesn't make sense without both.
My biggest issue with her is the starter weapon.
It has an unique moveset that can't be used with other fist or claw weapons, and it also doesn't have any special properties that could help with spellcasting.
It feels like an unfinished character.

I've got like 50 hours into this game and don't exactly understand the routing. Mostly because I am running after others and just being a beta male follower all the time so I don't get too much time to really look at the map and understand shit. >>527373389Generally speaking, if you have a nice and dense outer area you pick up all the ruins/churches/gaols etc around there until you're like lvl 5 or 6, then you get to decide whether you just keep farming the camps and blasting the easy fieldbosses like plants/lion if you know where those are likely to spawn which might be good if you can path to places that are likely to drop the nightlord's weakness while doing all of that. Though at that level you can also decide to just skedaddle and check whether the central castle has pot giants or not. If it does you probably want to fuck off and go do some more camps, or maybe peek your head into the basement and check if it's an particularly easy basement boss. If you get lucky and have crucible/banished knights you farm those and if you have time, level up and then get into the castle basement to kill that. Just killing the knights is likely to get you up to lvl 10 before the day 1 boss though, so if you're cutting it close you can leave the basement boss in case you return at some point during day 2.
Then on Day 2 you focus on pathing to field bosses and knocking over camps along the way since you'll be able to handle most of them at lvl 10~11. If you end back up at the castle during this you can do the rooftop boss if you're 12~13, You can also decide to rush down the shifting earth zone if you finish day 1 strong and work yourself up in those starting with the weaker bosses in there.
If for some reason you end day 1 as lvl 8's or so you want to be somewhat picky about the fieldbosses you pick a fight with
Most of these are just loose guidelines though, there's a decent amount of flexibility.
