those are for individual moves then you have

- hopkick, overhead that can be mashed on, I have 0 issues with this move as it seems easy to react for me, basically if he's hitting you and you see him jump then start mashing or reversal and you hit him
- dash, he can interrupt it to dash behind. can be punished on prediction with a dashing move like a charge and in the corner 66L too I think. can also dash behind you so be careful (you can mash)
- frametrap, he has a super slow ass attack that however frametraps you and catches you if mashing, if you block it he eats a full combo
the most common thing six do is 1st and 2nd, 3rd is literally just when you start answering both of them everytime and he gets tired of it, they will use it very rarely
his fireball can be rolled on prediction and he eats a full combo. if he's jumping a bit further from you he might use it while in the air as it kinda emulates what sieg's fireballs do (autowin neutral), so if you start running towards him you should land under or behind him to punish him
for pressure/general play:
as anon said, do NOT tech, H fireball is like Bubs divekick but 10 times better, there's literally no answer to this move during pressure but to either take his throws or to attempt to mash him out of it when you think it's coming

The part I liked the most is that the rotation format had 5 latest expansions available to play, but they usually didn't print new archetypes entirely in one expansion, they gave you a few cards supporting it and eventually a deck would be at its peak when it had all the synergy cards from multiple expacs. Well, it wasn't always the case, but still. And when cards rotated out, it didn't always mean that deck archetypes died, sometimes they'd still last for one or two more expansions and substitute what they lost, and sometimes they'd just keep getting support and never truly disappear.
Also it was extremely f2p friendly, playing long enough you could have every card in the game easily and still have tons of gold to spare.
The games were usually pretty fast too unless a control deck was in the meta, usually 8 turns at most, so around 5-7 minutes per game. I tried to like MtG but that game feels way too sluggish with all its phases.
As for powercreep, yeah it was a thing obviously, which card game doesn't have it? Rotation usually kept the powerlevel at a reasonable ceiling though, with few exceptions. So you could feel the powercreep, but it was more like a slow climb, and eventually they'd also print some expansions to reduce it if it got too ridiculous.
The things that weren't great imo was that the player going first had a generally 10% higher winrate despite all the boosts they gave to the 2nd player, the abundance of uninteractive combo decks that played solitaire, and the unlimited format was a joke. But generally, rotation format was a great time (unless Haven was meta, fuck that class, I wish they didn't bring it back in 2)

To be quite frank, Jays execution was kinda ass. He did weird, suboptimal combos. His jU hitting after 214X and not going for more UUs was weird as well. Pretty sure he could have converted it.

Seox *can* frametrap you during his rekka, but only with his ~6M, the two up-kicks. If you've blocked his up-kicks, mashing Light will beat everything Seox can do except backdash, which will reset to neutral (and if he did Light up-kicks, he could theoretically do parry afterwards to beat mashing if he's a psychopath, I guess).
In neutral, you should also be ready to block / dodge at a moment's notice whenever Seox has 50 meter, 'cause his 236U, the ult rekka, is one of the best jumpscare moves in the game. Seox clears basically the entire screen in like 14 frames, it's ridiculous.
One thing I see a lot of strong players do is BC the moment they block Seox's 214H, the fireball, since that's a guaranteed counter hit BC. Very good option to take your turn back.
