I would chase some loser like a Kunkka, he pops Blademail, I stop, then go in again and I still lose 50% of my HP because I'm a 2k HP squishy and he has like 5k HP + Radiance or some equally retarded bullshit. Death Prophet? Press E then Euls or Blademail and automatically waste 30+ mins of my time instead of letting me end early. Pudge? BB? Viper? Spectre? Blademail Blademail Blademail. Punished for existing, or doing my job as dps well.
These days I'm forced to buy early BKB not because of enemy spells but because of enemy Blademails. It's miserable. Blademail needs a nerf. Probably take out the passive component, or let active be disabled or purged. A 2k gold item that some shitter buys first thing after feeding in lane should NOT be this useful/valuable for the entire rest of the game.

I've somehow managed to win 3 games with offlane Void with the time zone facet. It's similar to Bristleback in that it really punishes supports if they don't have any ways to escape immediately and the potential to immediately heal all damage if you get jumped. The only real problem is you really are super dependant on your team to actually deal any damage and to constantly brooool.

So, as I just found out very recently, Axe and Winter Wyvern counters Marci pretty fucking hard. After early game into mid game, I couldn't deal any damage at all in teamfights, and even if I did, Axe would spin like crazy and refused to die because he is a retardedly tanky hero. And even when I popped my bkb and used Unleash, Axe call and WW ult penetrated bkb, so I could literally not even do anything at all during teamfights other than just die. At that point in time, I would have required a half-decent team to carry me beyond mid game to late game, but obviously, people aren't good enough to do that even though I was top priority during teamfights and my team could just do whatever the fuck and play around me getting focused, but because they were dogshit, they didn't, and we lost.

I've played for ten years. I talk to immortal players with some regularity and have proven to have more game knowledge than they do on various mechanics. I understand the game. I don't even think I play poorly. But it seems like no matter what I do, I will always be 3k. I will be an above average 3k player to be sure, I win more games than I lose. But over ten years and around ten thousand games of play, I am still here. I know people who have played a quarter the amount of games and calibrate 1k above me. Why? Why am I not good enough? What don't I have? I have nightmare dodged sunstrikes before, it's not a matter of reaction time or not having clutchness. I don't always have the exact right hero picks or builds but I make informed decisions. Why is the median level of skill in dota an uphill battle for me? I'm not even losing to good players who know things and have put in the work, I will lose to mouthbreathing retards who play the game like absolute cavemen. It makes no sense to me.

Furthermore, do you always only pick the heroes that have above 53% global win rate in that patch? If you don't, you are either not exercising MMR gaining behavior, or are stupid.
Further furthermore, reexamine tendencies. Right before I stopped playing I abandoned the idea of map efficiency or control and started playing around the idea of "be near teammates". Enjoyment and productivity both increased.

ok you have your plague wards down, and let's say lina wants to shoot them, normally, she has better range than the ward no big deal, but with your venomous gale, and those 2 plague wards that spawn from it, it opens up so many kills in mid that weren't possible before, feels pretty strong
you get hard countered by sniper because he has even more range, but vs everything else I think it's pretty good honestly
venomous gale has 850 range so you can still get sniper but it would be much harder with take aim

I generally go with Bottle -> Null -> Boots -> Maelstrom -> DPS item (Orchid/Diffusal/etc.) -> BKB -> Aghs -> Shard -> More DPS or utility depending on game. At least, this is my core WR build.
But overall, WR has a problem where she can't kill more than one person at a time. After hitting lv 25, you can be faster about it but you're still killing one person at a time. So you can't manfight and kill everybody in teamfights by yourself like other carries would. So even with peak farm, she shouldn't be pos 1 IMO. Mid, sure, because she still needs lots of farm, but not pos 1. It's not that she doesn't scale lategame, it's that all her scaling gets funneled into a narrow focus. The relevance thing could also just be that you spend too much time rotating non-stop for ganks when you are better off farming. When I notice that I am like 150 last hits 30 minutes in with no kills to show for it, I change gears and start farming more.
I think the period between lv 20-25 is where you kind of drop off, and it's the time where you're weakest relative to everyone else so you should work to get to 25 ASAP before joining too many fights again because everybody's getting full skills and several items, and you're still hampered by a 30 second cooldown on Focus Fire (and maybe your BKB). You need to farm to get levels and finish your post-Aghs DPS item in that time frame.
The other thing is that WR feels weak when she's getting beat up by multiple people, even with Aghs+BKB because she's still made out of paper. 1v1 she should almost never lose relevance against most match-ups though so focus on winning good 1v1 engages, and also getting your teammates to gank with you. While you can do a lot of shit alone, it's still a team game. Having an extra teammate with one extra stun with you makes all the difference between a kind-of even 1v1 vs enemy hero looking like a feeding loser.
Should I as a midlaner "never" go for kills?
Not literally never, but rather just try to farm with spells and clip the opponent mid and if there is an opportunity where they overstep or are super low try a low commit to kill?
