LB7 had it flaws but it doesn't hold a candle to how much of a stupid mess OC3 was. Three months of a nothingburger summer gag event/chapter that wasn't even that long to justify them splitting it to three parts. Most the cast was so under utilized that the only one that really had a solid showing was fucking Bart. Tenochi, Percy, MHXA, Karna, Dobrynya and Xu Fu didn't do much besides being beat sticks while Eresh and BB just do the same shit they have always done, i.e. being annoying, until we put them on time-out. Also Ciel's inclusion in all of this meant fuck all besides Nasu being desperate that the playerbase gives a rat's ass about his flop twilight vn. Him trying to make her and the Hakunos our senpai was so late to the game, I cringe every time they kept mentioning it in story. Arash’s Stella as “the ultimate shot” which makes up for one of the most iconic scenes of Camelot is certainly something that stands out.

Definitely. In my opinion, what Karna really needed was someone like Duryodana being in the game way earlier. That solves most of the issues. His best friend is a lovable asshole, it’s kind of a trend that Karna is working against the protagonist’s side for his loyalty. You can fault Duryodana for nearly everything without staining Karna that way and without fracturing Arjuna’s psyche for that either. Give us "A world where Arjuna had not shot Karna when he was fixing his chariot on that day", which resulted in the wrong side of the war winning. In LB4 you have to fight Karna Alter and Durodhana, who reveled in their victory taking over India and vastly changing history in a bad way somehow. The story shows us Karna if he had won the war, show him as more of an asshole somehow, and have our servant be Arjuna, seeing the reality of the world where he won, finally realizing that even if he had made another choice on that day, it wouldn't have necessarily have been correct. Showing him that even if his actions on that day were morally wrong, it lead ultimately to a better outcome, which gives him some atonement realizing that even if it was a mistake, it wasn't entirely a mistake. Arjuna redeems himself defeating evil Karna for real this time which he could never do on that day, without cheating. The story gives Arjuna closure with his own actions on that day, and we get to roll "Karna Alter" the next week, which is just a slightly more blood thirsty Karna after beating the Pandeva's during the war. I think they could have done a lot with a world where the Pandeva's lost the war.

Instead what they gave us was "The same shit, except slightly bigger, because we don't ever want to change relationship dynamics, Karna must always be correct, and Arjuna must always be seething and incorrect".

I was there, that's definitely true. People were taking seriously the lore and story up until that moment, and after that moment I saw people stop theorycrafting and trying to figure out the story in the same way. LB6 saved the game from the brink after Olga almost sank it, all because of Nasu's autism over people not liking a character he demands everyone love. Even now the game suffers from Nasu being obsessed with trying to make you love characters he wants you to love.

And the Olga twist might have worked if they made her slightly less of a joke character.

I played Lilim Harlot event, kinda sucked. Mushroom girl turned out to be a bitch, cast was a bit weak, it certainly wasn't as hyped up as it seemed. I mean it did give you a different perspective as a villain but it kind of had a weak narrative as well since all the servants you met within the harlot world weren't the actual servants anyway, which is something Scath tells you when you fight her, they're more like shadows or robots in the form of servants which is why you shouldn't feel bad. Its like it wanted you to play the bad guy a bit but it didn't want you to actually feel bad about it, which felt kinda weak to me. The servants were more like aspects of Nero in the end, Jack was Nero's sadness or longing for her mother, like I get it but it wasn't really as strong of a narrative as CCC event. I don't think Setanta really provided that much in the end to justify why he was chosen.

I didn't mind the usage of the 'memory loss' device in LB7. I actually found it more compelling and way less of a detour than how it was used in LB6. I have more of an issue with the ambiguity of the whole Grand 'dream' scene and how it acted as a red-herring to the cause of the amnesia itself. Tezca is revealed later to be the cause, but him both being in the 'dream' and being so multi-faceted within that whole chapter really muddied the waters.

By that logic, since Wukong's armor pieces were gifts alongside his tower of light you could treat them all as one NP ("Gifts of the Dragons' Submission" or something). Also a lot of the things mentioned could easily be treated as passive or active skills. For example his Spiritual Primate nature could be treated as some sort of Divinity-like Passive skills, his time control is part of the 72 special techniques of the magical daoist arts he was taught that gave him his first layer of immortality, so both of them are part of his fighting style, which could be treated as an active skill (like Redman's Hawkeye, or Nezha's (normal) Daoist Arts) and so on.

Why would anyone remember a lie? Gilgamesh's NPs don't have anything TO true name. Their abilities are all built in. One of the very first things he does is draw out Proto-Caliburn and use the same force that Shirou/Sabert did to kill Herc. True names don't mean anything.

Scathach's clashed with Altera's divine construct and was not left wanting in anything (it actually made Altera extremely surprised how it didn't get destroyed or disintegrate). If it were so downgraded or of truly worse rank it'd have disintegrated like Saber's projected Calibur when strongly clashing with Gil's Merodach.

Incidentally, what got Archer's praise and comparison to another divine construct after desroying all of Rho Aias petals was the thrown version (if you subscribe to the idea Cu's technique is unique).

Gae Bolg is, for most purposes and intents, a crypto divine construct. It has clashed and been compared positively with at least 3 or 4 other divine constructs in Fate narratives. It's possible if not likely that Nasu conceives Curruid (and Coinchenn) as world terminals (unclear and speculative as it may still be).
