I'm mainly rating them as generalist damage dealers separate from what their status actually does, and Lamentsang is more about sinking and butterfly than raw damage(even if his S3 can hit pretty hard, but nowadays strong IDs also have strong S2s/can cheat free skills).

I feel like it's weird to judge IDs for what they do outside their teams but I do agree they have few strong IDs. It's a consequence of having no new content in so long but WildHunt Heath and RHongers being the only modern IDs (and Heath is modern as in he has modifiers built in with coffins and his s3s) when it comes to damage and the like sucks. Honorary mention to Greg for being good for the status and having a passive that's just like up to 40% more damage depending on how much sinking they have.

For example, Mao Faust would still be really broken even with 0 rupture in her kit simply because a free S3 per turn that hits for 300-500 is already broken.

Mao Faust deals so much damage that it wouldn't shock me if replacing the 6/7th worst ID in other status teams with her would also increase the damage per turn, this is the kind of stuff I am talking about.

The problem is that unlike poise or other statuses, charge has very little play between the IDs. The only one which spreads charge to friends is WOutis. Which makes it unlike bleed/rupture/tremor/sinking/burn which goes on the enemy so everyone shares them by default or poise which has several sources of spreading it/Full Stop being a direct synergy duo. That's what makes charge feel boring, because it's more like every team member is too individualized.
So what charge needs to be cool is something like a Raven ID ala Kimsault or a paired set like Full Stop.

I don't mean animation wise although I wouldn't know how Ish works as I haven't sharded her yet. King in binds makes any coin that Heath uses deal its full damage with type and resistance (no effects) to 2 other enemies. It only works with 1 atk weight skills but WildHunt's s2 counts as one as it gains the atk weight on use. So it makes his coin hit 4 people and each hit on each person hits 2 other people that may be part of the skill or not so he could have a possibly 6 or more atk weight damage technically.

This makes it so when he hits everyone the effect triggers on every single one.
