The problem with the deck is truly that Legatia is the only card that actually does anything in terms of interruption. True Awakening is too minus to work in the regular combo, Phalanx is used in most combos as a GY effect instead of its first interruption effect, and literally everything else doesn't do anything. Even Legatia sucks because it destroys the highest ATK only.
There's many ways to take the deck, but I'm holding my breath for Konami to potentially make something good instead of it being Chimerea or Salvation-tier

It's nothing special it just goes into its 10 interaction pendulum board efficiently and consistently. You don't have to go through 30 steps to reach an end board and hope to knowledge check opponents on your choke points and you have room for non-engine since you can play conservatively.
I still don't think it's competitive because it doesn't push through 5 interactions and dodge board breakers, the bar is fucking high, but it's probably minimally playable which isn't really something I expected

Maliss reborn themselves when banished and have basically a search effect on summon, only March Hare specials herself from hand.
K9 are conditional specials from hand that search as an ignition, sans the Izuna dump.
Dracotail are searches upon fulfilling the deck gimmick + a utility gimmick like fusion summoning, searching or recursion
Yummy are all free specials from hand, with only a single searcher but it's fine because the ED monsters are so retardedly busted.

Shining Sarc is way better than Dark Magician, infinitely more consistent and with more powerful disruption, Dragoon pass and maybe Dark Magical Circle is way weaker than Dragoon + a monster negate + a spell/trap negate + uhhh Mystic Swordsman who is there too I guess

Dragoon destroyed Dark Magician. It did so much mental damage to the OCG that now all DM support tunnels into it which paradoxically makes DM worse since Dragoon is just a shitter filter.
