I only have a quarter million of Plas and Diamantine each, so I can't relate. I'd rather just level them up from leveling the class. I'll probably burn some on the final levels of the weapon(s) I don't particularly care for, but that's it.

Anon, it costs 109 plasteel to consecrate a weapon to green rarity. It takes 25-30 sacrificed green weapons to max out the weapon. That's 3,000 plasteel per weapon, 12,000 plasteel for all four weapons.

XII recon las has cleave, it can shoot through I believe 1 target and hit the one behind. It's very good and relatively ammo efficient if you have enough crit, so zealot loves it and psyker does decently well with it. It's also one of the better horde clear ranged options, not that this is relevant because ranged horde clear is usually stupid.
VIc recon las is the one you want to be using on vet, with 1-2 stamina curios and deadshot. You get stamina through focus target!'s left node. Just don't skip precision strikes. I have pretty good success using that sort of build in aurics, but I can't vouch for havoc 40 because I find being the grenade bitch super boring there.

Ogryns are big because of the fact they evolved on planets which were prison colonies during the DAoT. And ogryns are the descendants of the prisoners and people stationed there. And we can imagine prisoners do not change in 40 000 years, aka people who are criminals tend to usually be brutal and very violent.
The reason why ogryns are so gigantic and strong is because they evolved in a very brutal "survival of the strongest and violent" environment where being the biggest, toughest and the strongest was advantageus, while smarts weren't as necessary for survival.
Though ogryns still have very honed survival instincts, it's just that they are very single minded and directed mostly towards "fight, eat and sleep".

Interesting you'd say that, because I spend most of my time shooting shit dead on a build that doesn't even run ammo aura, yet I'm regularly the last one in the team to run out of ammo, and only pick up whatever scraps they leave behind for me. Deadshot + shock trooper carries in the ammo department, and 2 stamina curios + target down equate to nearly infinite stamina if there's enough enemies to tag.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't use survivalist btw. It's definitely vet's best aura, I just didn't have enough points in the meme stealth build I run with this setup.

The meta weapon for havoc 40 on veteran is whatever melee has uncanny strike to bug abuse frag grenades with. That's your entire job.
Recon las was very good in havoc 1.0 where enemies could have bullet resistance, you would just ammo efficiently burn them with infernus. Enemies no longer have bullet resistance, so it has less of a niche. Still a decent gun.
Plasma is commonly used for its infinite cleave, for when a fuckhuge horde spawns that you can just line up in a corridor and cut in half with 3 shots.
Double barrel shotgun is also viable since you can reload it with the bottom right capstone, build heavily into crit, and similarly infinite cleave through an entire horde, applying bleed in the process. It's more niche however, since it doesn't snipe as well as the other options.

Unironically the crusher and eviscerator. I use both on my martyrdom build.
I use thrust on my crusher specifically to do more boss damage with FotF.
But you can change thrust out for skullcrusher which works very well too.

My eviscerator is just unyielding + caparace with rampage and shred.

It was when Fatshark did an event where you went around looking for these radio receivers/transmitters and you then "hacked" into the frequency to listen on what the heretics were talking about or planning.
And getting all 3 radios and solving them would then spawn the scab radio operator which would have spawned like gunners onto the map.

It makes sense if you look at it from his perspective, which is that without him all the things in his collection would be lost to time and entropy. He’s a kook, but definitely on the lower end of the kook scale.

Trazyn is cool because he’s that unique Necron who accurately ascertains his strengths and weaknesses and knows his role in the grand scheme of things, tends to put a lot of forethought into what he's doing, and legitimately values other cultures (when under his protection at least). At the same time, hes 40k’s biggest narcissist and his goals are 100 percent self absorbed, this is the guy who won a debate with a time traveling rival of his who kept going back in time to change his points and he still won through sheer force of will and intellect. On the softer side, he spent decades waiting around on a planet for one of his bigger treasure hunts, and had a human servant for the time being, one he valued enough to actively inform him their time together was at an end, tell him he's going to die (because the whole planet is about to be attacked) and then give him the closest thing to a humane execution he could manage. He’s a kleptomaniac and he doesn’t really have higher goals other than wanting to preserve a little bit of everything.

If you want to use Vermintide 2 as an argument, why does Darktide have not nearly as much DLC as that game despite being out for nearly 3 years? The answer is that VT2 content is simply way easier and less costly to make. They had to put over 2 years worth of knowledge and resources from Darktide into Arbites alone.
Vermintide 2 had a new enemy faction only a year after initial release. Within 3 years, VT2 had 5 more careers, one more enemy faction, a new gamemode and several mission expansions. I'm probably missing more.

It's a multifaceted problem. Fatshark does not have a lot of Devs in the first place because they require all employees to live in Sweden, and also know the engine they do, one that barely anyone has ever used. So, there's a manpower shortage from that alone. Then you have competing dev studios in Stockholm with more money working on more popular things (Arrowhead is literally right there and we know at least some Fatshark devs jumped ship after HD2 took off).

The assets for Darktide are probably far more complicated to make, you're right. More money, more manpower. It's not a good situation to be in. And finally, some of the devs have said they prefer to work on VT2, either because it's easier or because they like the setting more. Who knows. Regardless, this splits their manpower even further. Finally, they have the third game they are starting to learn and build a UE5 team for. It's a shit situation and it perfectly explains a lot of why Darktide is the way it is. It's not an excuse though. It's bad management (they should have given VT2 the Necromancer and EoL'd the game), bad recruiting (only using on-site, in country devs is insane, especially since they aren't a co-op), bad tech (an outdated and niche engine), and on, and on, and on. I think pretty much any half-capable developer could have made a better Darktide than the Darktide we have because most devs don't do this retard shit. They do different retard shit, but not "Hey, let's split our extremely limited manpower across three different games!" Retarded.

I think the more realistic answer is that darktide was a commercial disappointment. It had to be pushed out before it was ready and monetize very aggressively, and as a result did not retain players. Now they have their big flagship game with a playerbase almost on par with the old game from 2018.
They downscaled the dev team that works on it because there's just no return from this. They could be developing the fuck out of this, playercounts wouldn't go up to the desired 100k+ consistently. There's loyal players and it's not dead, but the bulk for moneymaking moved on.

I'm guessing that all their competent devs are working on the next game and have been since the ports were done. I believe that's the case for multiple reasons:
1. All the new content in Darktide has been very low effort from a programming perspective. Artists and sound designers etc are able to work on Darktide, but it doesn't seem like they're capable of making actually fully new things for Darktide with the crew they have. Arbites ults are feasibly just slight tweaks to existing ults, ogryn rework introduced no new mechanics, no new enemies have been introduced other than a scab bomber reskin, a scab captain reskin, and a scab gunner reskin.
2. We know their studio did not grow massively, and we know they are working on a new title. It's simple math that the devs working on the new title and crunching that had to be subtracted somewhere else.

And we know this and can tell this because lot of the shit for arbites is just pre-existing mechanics. Like the nuncio aquila is probably just a gold toughness dispenser. The Break the Line is just a less useful zealot or ogryn charge.
Only unique thing is the terminator mode, but even that amounts to just being a damage reduction + unstoppable momentum from ogryn.

I know it's often overstated, but covid regulations did strike that industry hard as fuck and impaired their development hard. They had to basically go for the safe option that lets them try again.
In other words, Darktide was just not going to work unelss it was delayed by another 1-2 years which would've reasonably killed the company. What they did with the aggressive cash shop is the cope to coast them along for the next try. Unfortunate becuase I quite like darktide

To be fair the monetization wasn't the whole problem, evidenced that people play shit like gacha on the regular.
The problem was Darktide being both *blatantly* bad, unfinished mess with like 70% of features missing and buggy as all hell at launch with shit tons of connectivity and disconnect issues. Meaning the actual game barely fucking functioned, while at the same time at launch only thing that worked 100% and didn't have any issues was the premium shop.
It's kinda like if you went to the dealership, got a brand new, factory fresh car after a test drive and inspection, but after you get home you realize the engine's knocking, one of the windshield wipers isn't working, the 1 of the front and back lights burn out and the engine's leaking coolant, and the same time only thing that works is the fucking seating heaters.

It basically turned like 95% of people off from the game (went from 100k players to 8k at best in less than 2 months, which is horrendeusly bad and for any other studio or dev would mean abject failure) when it hit like because it showed everyone where fatshark's priorities lied and still clearly fucking do seeing how they are developing new "content" for the game, ie. pure greed with the lowest effort possible, which borders on incompetence and retardation.
Because how the fuck else do you explain the incompetence and dumbshit like making 0.5 of a new enemy in 3 years, ie. dreg bomber which is just a reskinned scab bomber. That doesn't even take into fact the scab radio operator which is just a helmetless scab gunner, that 80% of the playerbase didn't know even existed because there was zero fucking communication and any amount of news about it came like few days after the event had been on going for.
Also to add insult to injury it was an event enemy, an enemy that is now mandatory to get a penance nowadays but you can't get it because the enemy no longer spawns. Bravo fatshark.

Relic blades in 40k is just a catch all term for bladed weapond which are all one of a kind artifacts that are extremely ancient, ie. relics like their name implies. And every single relic blade is a unique work of art, history and craftsmanship.
And a "relic blade" doesn't have to be a power sword, it can even be an axe or spear or even a chainsword.

Which is exactly wrong and opposite of what you see in darktide. Because the blades have straight up patterns and numbers which denote what it is and the reason why it exists is because it a weapon that is manufactured en mass. Pattern and mark numbers which wouldn't even exist on actual relic blades because they are usually one of a kind creations or so heavily altered that it is no longer possible to discern what pattern or mark of weapon the blade or originally was.

It's just yet another thing fatshark has gotten wrong in the game because they are retarded.

Weapon swap speed is just how quickly you can switch between different inventory slots (pressing 1-5, or using scroll wheel). It basically affects the speed of the animation that plays before you're allowed to fire your weapon. Assail is basically instant, you can ignore swap speed.
