My brother in law is a massive mtg fan, every second Saturday he plays in person in the lhs and spends almost all his free time playing it on his phone.

My missus and I hosted over the Easter weekend and they were still here till monday arvo when everyone else had left. I was painting my krieg and greenskin kill teams and he was checking out the paraphernalia sitting in my office with me and would not stfu about how 'dark' and 'boring' 40k is.

He insisted 40k could 'grow' and get more popular by having hello kitty marines and constantly tried to show me cuddly animal magic card artwork. He would not stfu about how final fantasy cards were coming out etc. I got the shits and told him, once again people have painted their own models all kinds of ways and that is perfectly fine and even lore friendly as long as you structured your 'faction' by the custom faction TT rules for gameplay reasons.

Was not good enough. He wants official art and lore to turn into teletubbies like mtg otherwise its "just not very appealing". I told him to look up GW's earnings report and he still shrugged his shoulders and doubled down on his bullshit. Literally the type of retard AoS was supposed to pull in, and failed.

major factions at the moment have anything from 150-300ish potential while minor factions have 25-75 depending on rng roll
