Hope you're all doing well aces. Wanted to swing by and show a new trailer for the free Ace Combat inspired PC game I've been solo developing since 2021. It's called Hellbirther and it's a 2D shooter/strategy game with a campaign and lots of customization, based around drone operators controlling walking tanks from afar. The IUN-PKF based in Usean countries was made up primarily of Osean forces. They were the QRF for Erusea getting uppity, like the USAF in Europe. After the Navy got crippled in Osea, they were only real threat to Erusea's plans.

So given how many videos of missile interception we've had over cities the last few years do you think 8 will have a more active mission area when we get the shoot down these missiles mission that is common for the series?
Like for instance some of the missiles can't be targeted as they are scripted for allied interceptors to shoot down. They are just showing up to give the mission more flash and make the mission feel more active and intense.

That's a terrible idea, I don't want a repeat of AC7's worst missions where you can't shoot down the enemy because the script isn't allowing him to be defeated yet.

No not like that not at all I don't want that either. What I mean is along with all the missiles you can shoot down a few spawn without a target box around them and are blown up at preset times.

I'll give an example
Say you have 70 missiles spawn at once that you can shoot down an additional 15 more spawn as well but they lack target boxes and they don't show up on your radar you'll never know they are even on the map till you see allied AD take them out.
If you take out all of your missiles before the scripted missiles are shot down the game will keep spawning enemy fighters for you to play with until the scripted missiles are downed. Yes this would be a play the level till the timer runs out mission type.

That way none of the can't kill it nah your never meant to kill it to start with and the game will give you unlimited things to kill if you finish your part of the mission fast enough.

Mobius took out Free Erusea in a day add in Trigger and the two of them can do it after a nice breakfast and before lunch is ready. The days of Erusea doing anything are over and done.

Think about it by 2025 you got Tempest, KF-21, NGAD F/A-XX, Apalis, XFA-27, Fregata, Cariburn, Forneus, And possibly the F/A-32C
And for low cost high power you got F-15EX's and some of the upgraded F-16 variants we saw in 3 may be showing up as low cost options to modernize your airforce.

Its a very very crowed market today and the X-02 is over shadowed by many far less maintenance nightmare planes that offer equal or better ability

After the continental war the FCU got their hands on the X-02 blueprints and built a few for R&D use.
Free Erusea stole/was given the 6 Erusea has built.

Fun Fact: Aurelia is the only known customer of the X-02 as its the only game where you unlock this plane by normal means of completing missions.

I'm gonna say it. The XFA-36 is a disappointing design which fails to capture the appeal of the X-36. It's too geometrically complex, the canards are too far backwards, the engines and nose are too pointy. Still a good plane, the raised wingtips are cool, but its burdened by wasted potential and out-done by its inspiration.

That is sort of like saying every plane that has an F in front of the number was made by the same company. Yeah its more than likely this is what PA is going to do but I would like some more variety in it before we reach full cyberpunk game.

I still don't see the 302 connected to the 311 Fregata is a good all around plane the 311 is kind of useless even as a ground attacker due to its limited weapons lighter armor and very poor mobility. Its a complete downgrade from Fregata its one of the worst planes in the game. The R-201 & 211 are far better ground attackers than the 311. So if your going that way then one of those would be the more better choice

Yes the Nagase rescue mission can be absolutely relentless with enemy AI getting a good dice roll. Even on normal difficulty. And once she is spotted and the choppers spawn you have to fly in the vicinity of the choppers to keep them alive. I usually make a save state as soon as the choppers spawn because it’s easy to mess up.

Speaking of nagase, I wonder what sort of space infrastructure they’ve built using the space elevator by the time of ac7. They’re capable of trips to the asteroid belt but I wonder what sort of stations they may have up there, maybe even a moon base? Wonder if strangereal’s Cold War included their own version of the space race. SpAce combat spinoff?

Most Federation pilots aren't particularly special. Crimson 1, E-6, and other Federation characters react like Driver's a top tier ace. Only if you are fast enough and do a last moment hard turn before impact, AC3's missiles are proportionally guided and turning in only one direction while accelerating in low tier planes wont work for you like in other AC titles since you will lose speed and give more room for the missile to react to your maneuvering.

Been a while since I played but I do remember the guidance being iffy like that, best thing I think you could do is to get some distance from your target so the missile can have some travel time to unscrew itself, also give short range missiles a look, they have lower range but are faster, tend to have more consistent guidance and you can spam them.

Which gun? each one is different the machine is fast but light damage. The heavy gun drops fast the PLS is well a PLS but slower moving balls of plasma.
The only thing anyone can tell you about the gun is it takes a lot of practice to use it.

That's not right and you know it. Sure the F-15E has a higher top speed but it doesn't even break mach 1 without afterburner. That limits its range in practice, which is already worse than the F-16XL. And the Strike Eagles' higher payload comes from it being a big twin engine gas guzzler. A trio of F-16XL could carry the same payload as a pair of F-15E, but deliver it farther and likely in less time at a lower cost. Remember that the majority of a fighter's lifetime cost is operation and maintenance, not initial acquisition. And remember how often F-16 was sent to interdict or service a ground target simply because they are easier and cheaper to operate than many alternatives, despite not being designed for that kind of mission. Export customers who can't afford too field as many different aircraft types would have loved it. Jokes aside, I bet the real reason it died is that some guys in suits decided is was McDonnell Douglas's turn. Who cares about efficiency when you have the consistently rising cold-war defense budget.
