>What is Marvel Snap?
The GOTY CCG from the creators of Hearthstone. A deck is 12 card singleton. Players play 6 simultaneous turns to 3 lanes. Winning 2 lanes wins the match. Matches are played for ladder ranks (cosmic cubes) and players can SNAP once per match to double the stakes (max 8 cubes).
>What is a card series?
Cards unlock in a random order, but specific cards are unlocked within specific collection level (CL) ranges: Series 1 cards (CL 18-214), Series 2 (222-474), and Series 3 (474+). Series 4 (Rare) and 5 (Super Rare) cards can be purchased directly with Collector’s Tokens that can also be used to buy Series 4 or 5 Snap Packs that are cheaper but dole out random cards from certain pools.

Upgrade every card you get to green rarity (frame break) ASAP. Spend the rest of your credits how you like.

I have won games I shouldn’t due to blowing up the reactor and lost games i should’ve won due to the same. Some pretty ludicrous bordering on hilarious stuff. For example, went up against an HV Patriot deck with an On Reveal reactor trigger hovering above; they played Deathstrike for tempo turn 2, then Patriot on her lane in turn 3 because you gotta stack to maximize Ultron’s drones going everywhere else. You can guess how that went for them when I blew the reactor on turn 4. Filthiest thing I’ve witnessed in this game so far, I don’t think they read what the reactor effect was.
This COULD be a fun mode but they welded one of the worst grinds in the game to it.

Truthfully, trying to give you as complete of an answer as possible, without any bias. The game at its core is fun and engaging. It's truly a unique CCG. But that's where the positives end. It's not a game that respects you as a player or consumer. You will quickly find yourself lagging behind many veteran players with more complete collections and it will cost you obscene amounts of money in order to catch up. It's totally possible to play the game as a FTP, but you will be grinding things out with the same one or two decks ad nauseum if you want to be anything considered competitive. Doing dailies and keeping up with all the tasks if gives you is a full time job. Log in 3 times a day and do your shit and don't miss anything otherwise you will fall behind fast.

My honest advice? Stay away from this game. The devs have engaged turbo retardation mode and have decided to increase the greed levels for acquiring cards and are only doubling down on their decisions. It is not worth the mental stress for the small amount of dopamine it provides.

Can't help but feel like the tokens system only works for people who have almost every card while the old system worked better for people who didn't. And by nearly every card I genuinely mean like 99% of cards. Spotlight caches made it easier for new players to amass a wide collection but the token shop is much better if a new player sees a deck they like and wants to actually be able to play it less than six~eight months into the future.

Of course, it'd help a fucking lot if the token shop weren't restricted to one card in each of S4/5 that rotates every eight hours. Having to potentially wait an entire month for say Galacta to get her turn in the rotation must suck and god help you if you forget to check one rotation and miss your target. Regardless, that's still a much smaller problem than having to endlessly budget keys and pray that the card(s) you need gets a turn in the cache before it gets totally powercrept out of usefulness.

Nah I'm always sitting on a decent stash of credits. Like I have 2k right now. I don't buy anything anymore, I just use my credits wisely and always get 6k tokens a week.

This is the usual song and dance though isn't it? Live service games are always doing something stupid to piss off people and they stick with it anyway. Kid Omega is bad but even that I don't really see as something that would really put a dent in the player base. Really, unless they do something stupid like raise the base price of the season pass I don't see it going down just yet.

Don't think I've seen community outrage ever be this high since nexus events. Really feels like SD have dug themselves into a hole and they will really have to pull a miracle to win back the community
