I know you guys are referring to these classes from the side of being SP batteries, but I still want to rant about this.

Alche can be very strong but the "buffs" are weird and not super interesting, I like the 1:3 ratio crafting thing because it feels more respectful of your time, but CC and AZ don't really compensate for the loss of homun, homunculus gave the class a lot of identity and some personal touch to how you play them that now it's just lost, it was as well a way to defend yourself without having to rely on a priest or whatever other support.

There's also not a super big difference between Acidified Zone and Cart Cannon, nor there is between those and say a ninja using Kunais with mirage or Huuma, and the skill point requirements for each AZ is ridiculous.

The other thing is Dev expects us to use the plants as if they were terrible homuns I think, except the plants are extremely dumb, they get in the way, don't have any active skills, pull unneeded aggro and then die to either your own skills or your party members (I've wasted so many Acid Demos on my own plants because they run around and into the enemy and start overlapping, or they just die to my own CC / AZ by getting caught in the AoE).

Dev should've at least made the plants invulnerable, since is not like enemies can even hit them, should've also made it so either Geographer doesn't attack or can heal while attacking, because you have to do this dumb dance outside of the plant attack range for it to heal you or anyone on your party.

Without Homun, Alche feels like it needs to be played with a babysitter on you at all times, at least until you get lvl 90 and can use cowboy boots to actually fend for yourself.
Either that, or you have to play it as a bootleg Blacksmith.

Also I don't really get what's the point of every new boss having 30 vit to make Acid Demo weak if they're going to get melted by AZ / CC and other long range nukes.

Every patch is more and more endgame dripfeed for the remaining few and anybody that attempts to join in is told to just tough it out until 90 then buy some overpriced bullshit because nobody is farming those areas anymore so theres no economy to speak of.

The more I read, the more I see a case for having a legacy and seasonal server system in place. Ofc, that wouldn't be the only "solution" but it's one alternative. Simpler than reworking the custom changes to make incentives for new players to join.

But you can start on other classes too, aside from the obviously not beginner friendly (merch), my friend started as a prof and my other friends as a monk, crusader and priest, I think if you just want to play, class doesn't matter that much.

Maybe Wiz can be a bit tough now since that's a class that doesn't have it easy without early parties, they still can level just fine, firewall + whatever is always good, but most classes are definitively fine starting out in my experience.

Even as a SuNo is pretty easy to ask if anyone can give you the SuNo accessory cards to start out, some players have quite a few just laying around.

Einbech 3 monsters give 24k ~ 30k exp each and the place has a lot of mobs, Comodos also give 20k each, or like you said, Pinguiculas also exist, 10 of any of them is worth more than 1 anubis.

I believe you, but at least we know for a fact that Eclage monsters have shit drops, so at least that's a bit less likely to happen.

Only the crab does, Sedora and Sropho hit for 400 to 700~, the exp is still amazing if you're lvl 60+, it's just not the go-to place for 84+ leveling.
You do need a wiz to deal with them which is annoying, that's why I was recommending other places that give still really good exp and are easier to do without one.

I had some faith that the einbech weapons were going to be realistically obtainable for the intended level 70 range but they're both far too strong and far too obnoxious to get so it's once again content for max level players to gear their alts with.

Until the sonic blow or JT hits anyway. Both of which you can prepare for but with their current EXP rates and HP value its just not worth it vs the same tired old exp routes. Dev did reduce their flee slightly but its still a lot for someone in the expected level range to reach while also dealing with their bloated HP.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Byalan6 hp to exp ratio is fine, the problem is that you have to absolutely do them with mages. Is like a better Magma Dungeon, the hp and exp is pretty similar too, a bit better for Byalan6.

They're 20k hp mobs with 56k ~ 70k base / job exp, not bad at all, I did my mage leveling from 64 to like 76 in around an hour there.

At 60+, Siromas, Hill Winds, Alarms, Bathories, Stings, High Orcs, Mi Gaos, Geographers, Les, etc, you know, the classics.
If you mean from the new areas, then Dewata in general is fine, Comodos which I cannot recommend enough, Byalan6 if you got any healer + mage.

At 84+ then again, all the classics, Anubis, Ice Titans, Rachel sanct, Anolians, Mavkas, etc + Buffalos, Pinguiculas, Nagas (that's a bit too hard though), Bradium Golems, Abyss Lake 4 (if you have Turn Undead), I think Byalan6 is still quite fine with the healer + mage combo too, we'll have to see how Eclage is.
Odin 4 also gives still good exp but the place is way too difficult without endgame gear or a full party (and even then is easy to just die).

Places just kind of depend on your class or whoever you're partying with if any.

personally i think generic party spots actually hurt the game unless they are KINO like bio3 and thors (keknewal could NEVER, btw)
solo leveling was basically erased from the game which also means that there is no reason to ever do a build just because of its pvm potential which of course pairs brilliantly with the server being pvm-only.
