I don't mind any of this stuff to be honest (on paper), except for the WoW token. They should also consider cross-faction in PvE servers.
The biggest issue with SoD (first phase at least, I didn't play it after that) was that playable characters were significantly stronger, but mobs were the same as standard Vanilla.

If the open-world in Vanilla is trivially easy, what's the fucking point. If anything it should be the other way around: the should make everything harder to account for the fact the average player in 2025 knows how to play the game.

I didn't touch Cata Classic but I never played MoP. Why are they doing balance changes? Was the game balance that bad back in the day? I'm surprised to hear it since Blizzard's usually hesitant to do big changes in classic, minus game breaking ones (that they of course preserve until prepatch)

I hope they make fresh hardcore servers soon. It’s comfy af. I miss the PvP in hillsbrad and STV while levelling but I really enjoy being able to group with people and then 30 level later you might run into them again knowing that they probably had their share of close encounters

It’s factually correct
Loch Modan is cozy but all it’s got going for it is the hunter lodge and Thelsamar, the rest of the zone is bland, with boring enemies and literal nothing quests

You can sum up Loch Modan as sitting down by the living room fireplace after playing outside in the snow all day, but then you sit down and after 10 minutes of cozy time the fire dies out and you have no more logs to put on. 6/10 zone

Barrens is nostalgic but you’re just RPing a feather Indian. None of the quests are particularly memorable, very efficient XP and maybe a good time if you’re a hunter RPing otherwise it’s kinda meh. 7/10

Westfall has the defias quests which are nice and deadmines is a good dungeon. The rest is a slog of grinding low drop rate items 5/10

Darkshore is the alliance version of barrens where you have a very efficient levelling experience but you don’t even care about what you’re doing, you’re just autopiloting the quests because night elf quests are always hippie shit no one cares about.

in terms of atmosphere, it absolutely is. although I find the quests to be a little light in the middle. it's hard to beat the quest density of the Barrens.
Duskwood is comparable in atmosphere and has better quests, but it also isn't a second zone. the human equivalent is Westfall, which is incredibly overrated imo.
