It's just a bad system. The map has multiple tables and queueing for it from the menu just seems to teleport you to a free one so people are queueing up and getting teleported to different tables instead of getting paired for a game. Some of the tables are way out of the way and people won't realistically check them while running around lobby.

I think Cygames shouldn't have messed with the prices nominally. Just keep it 100 gold per pack and divide all gold income by 5.
Comparing the game to Master Duel which people praise as generous, you get the same amount of free packs (~1.4 packs worth of gold) per day, it's just that in SV2 you are forced to actually "realize" the pack in the form of a free pack instead of hoarding the gold.
(MD's pity system is even worse than SV because you aren't guaranteed a legendary card for your 10th pack, and you aren't even guaranteed a gold card if you buy singles instead of 10-pack bundles)

It's not really a fair comparison. MD frontloaded you with resources so you could get your first deck online immediately, everyone was able to enter the meta on launch with that game. SV2 failed to do that.

On top of that MD supplements the income with regular events that inject a bunch of cards into your pocket and resources from decks are easily converted into each other. You can keep up with the game indefinitely and catch up quickly when you take a break. It's possible SV2 will do that later but until further notice the comparison is fucking terrible.

Boards basically don't exist in the early meta and playing board is the sword identity. The craft is probably fucked until more support. Abyss is in a similar position though it's a bit better off since it has strong removal against other boards.

It is a PvP game after all, so you need to be competitive.

Before you could just liquefy the cards you don't give a shit about which was majority as a F2P player, so you could keep up and make competitive decks with what you wanted. You CANNOT do that here. You 10000% need to swipe.

the free daily pack is garbage; it can't have a ticket and doesn't progress the pity counter. Instead you need to buy a pack with rupies for that, and they nerfed the daily rupie income significantly. To buy ten packs via rupies and get the guaranteed legendary now takes almost a month of daily play. Then if you pulled a legendary from a class you don't play but don't already have 3 copies, oops lol you can't liquidate it, better luck next month. When they changed the Vial system for cards I'm already skeptical lol. I felt like 1 free daily pack won't justify the overall cost to create your 1 main deck as a f2p or lightspender and so it was true. What a fucking joke. I guess some original "heartstone for weeb" audience would love this game for a while until they censored the arts later down the line if it was not censored already

Cost of one pack increased from 100 to 500 gold while dailies give you 210 gold. Amount of vials reduced (from 50 to 20 for silver cards), can't vial cards unless you have 3 copies. Free daily pack doesn't count towards legendary pity. You can no longer easily save to buy hundreds of packs at once when the new expansion releases. shadowverse used to have pity mechanic in which you can trade in all cards you're not interested in using for currency that you can use to build the deck you want, in this one it is gone, so not only is it worse than the OG game, it makes pocket look generous

I agree on everything except this one. I started in Rivayle and managed to build a meta Portal deck without vialing anything but extras. Now you absolutely can't do that because holy fucking hell, packs cost 5x as much.

Shan't be rerolling and paying until the game gets better. Instead, I'm just gonna pay some thirdie for a reroll account with the leader I want. Simple as.
