Its better for immersion and the story is more focused and contained and felt more authentic and classic. Kcd2 feels crowded and more fast paced. That said even the most hardcore kcd1 fans will agree kcd2 has better QoLs. EXCEPT FOR MUTT. mutt was soooo much better in kcd1

I think in the end its about taste and which one you played first, kcd1 just feels more cozy to me, sometiems i go back to play kcd1 when im burned out w kcd2 but also i prefer sasau and rattay than any towns in kcd2. Kcd2 has no town that feels like home

Does anyone else feel convinced trosky and kuttenberg were meant to be kcd2 and 3 respectively... istvan being killed is the climax and henry riding with zizka and katherine was the ending and the cliffhanger is hans being captured, again. I think vavra foresee kcd3 might be dead on arrival due to culture wars or he was advised that those would be too slow bc yes kcd1 was very sloow and personal with tracking ginger and reeky feel like dragged out fillers, so its condensed into one game. Please enlighten me as to why Žižka and Katherine aren’t a couple. Katherine and Henry have absolutely no chemistry and le ebin big booba doesn’t work on me.
The two romance choices should’ve been Rosa for the hetfags and Hans for the gayfags. In addition, Rosa’s romance also seems rushed, like they took a part of her romance and maybe used it for Katherine, though this is a theory.
It makes sense why the straight romances receive almost no attention from fans and devs.

All this talk about cottagecore and 10 adopted war orphans has got me thinking about Hans and Henry's potential parenting skills. Henry would probably be a cool dad and have more patience with tantrums and dirty diapers but I think he'd also underestimate how little survival instincts small children have when you stop watching them for 5 seconds. Hans would probably be overprotective and live in a constant state of anxiety over their kids hurting themselves. He'd probably feel a lot of guilt about not being a good enough parent so Henry would have to reassure him constantly. Yes. He will also complete his mission of destroying the powder reserves (which hurts Sigismund) and join your side after the ambush if you ask him. It's very in line with the themes of the games.
