Uh, definitely above the pre-Mimighoul post-anime TCG exclusive 1st wave at the very least, but it really depends on the 2nd wave, I imagine at least 1-2 of the 2nd wave's slots will be dedicated to extender disruptions like the already existing main deck line up so it definitely needs more main deck monsters that function as engine pieces, or at least a NOPT monster that searches or something

They are pretty solid but unfortunately suffer from being clearly unfinished, which makes sense since we have a second wave but unfortunately makes the deck pointless for the first wave.

But the issue really is that other decks, with 1 card, output much deadlier fields than a Spell/Trap negate and a Quick Pop

The part about R.B. that feels absolutely wrong right now is VALCan Booster, in context, doesn't make sense.

It would make sense to move it to make way for Brute Blues, but again, why? You just got the materials to make Brute Blues from that alone and Booster does LITERALLY nothing after that point, so keeping it in the MMZ is pointless. Making another Brute Blues is also pointless since he is HOPT and the second one would literally just be a 1500 ATK vanilla.
It makes me think that the idea is getting Stage Landing and turning the revived R.B. and Booster into another Link-3 to pair with Brute Blues in the EMZ, but it doesn't exist right now.

That doesn't solve the issue, the revived thing isn't the problem its the useless Link-2 that will literally not do anything, is forced into Attack Position because its a Link and has 500 ATK.
Brute Blues not redirecting attacks or forcing you to attack it is one of the biggest problems with the deck. All the Main Deck stuff is weak as fuck where any Normal Summon can out them, which in turn makes Brute Blues much much worse

Getting two monsters on the field in one turn was not trivial back in the day and I keep shitting on blatant modern-only comboshitters who keep trying to le epically lock me out of the game by splurging their entire hand on a shitty turn 1 board with 5 set cards and then instascooping when either they get heavy stormed, or just picked apart by smart usage of multiple backrow removal tools and entering a grindgame with them when they now have literally nothing in hand. Probably the main reason they didn't do the bullet-points inline is difficulty in telling where the last option ends and the HOPT clause begins. OCG-style structuring would fix this issue, but if that's not an option, so could (for example) putting text that isn't an effect or material line (e.g. HOPT clauses) in square brackets.

There are 36 cases of (your choice, if tied) and 2 cases of (their choice, if tied). Both of the latter are continuous restrictions on the opponent's attack targets based on attack. This string is completely unnecessary as it is intuitive who gets to choose in case of a tie.

The new TCG archetype looks like shit. I'm not talking about the playstyle or the quality of the cards, I'm talking about the art.
That boss monster when I first saw it I thought it was a joke. Seriously, I thought I was being pranked. It's the most generic looking robot I've ever seen. Completely devoid of any flavor or soul.
I'm the biggest TCG-exclusive lover there is and I've backpeddled many many times and liked archetypes I previously hated but I can't see me liking this new archetype.
And do you wanna know the most tragic part of that? That archetype is my idea. Almost anyway.
I've been saying FOR YEARS NOW that we should get a Meklord retrain that turns the Meklord boss monster itself into a link monster that sits in the extra monster zone and all the pieces for it go in the main monster zone and they augment the Link monster depending on how many pieces and what pieces you use.

This archetype is unironically close as fuck to that concept but it just looks like shit.

I play blue eyes cards with the red eyes fullmetal engine but I have more cards and can buy stuff if necessary, I just have ZERO CLUE what techs would allow blue eyes to play through their board or stop it from building and win, feels like they're operating on a completely different metagame but it must be my inexperience since Blue Eyes is a strong 2025 deck, surely it is capable of fighting something from last year.

I tend to notice they always have ways of coming back from the GY or playing their spell cards from the deck / fetching them in any hand they draw, no clue what's the strategy here besides drawing 3 Ashes and Nibirus (I've seen them play through a Nibiru board wipe)
