But still, 12 extra damage on 75 damage ability is good.
And for Syndra you have 2 orbs stored, you are usually hitting people with 2 orbs every time you burst them. So a 30% increase to orb ratio would be a 60% increase to your burst damage ratio.
A midgame Syndra with just 400 ap would be doing 240 more damage in a combo from a change like this at a point in the game where most squishies would have like 1200 health.

When I first started league I LOVED Veigar. E was an instant stun. You just stun, deathfire grasp, q, w, ult. It was an instant kill to everyone and it was glorious.
I also loved master yi. You could go AP on him and chain together Q's to wipe out entire teams and heal 10k+ damage with his W. You could also build double phantom dancer IE and kill everyone just by hitting R Q.
But my favorite champion by far was Akali who got 3 extreme range dashes, and an invisibility circle. I would go like 15-0 every game and would even joke that the enemy champions were just money bags because they were so easy to kill. Q R E Q auto dead.
And now everything is "balanced" and nothing is fun.
