I mean for the couple of raids I've played way differently than I usually play. Right from the spawn I sprint towards stronghold occasionally listening for other pmcs and sometimes I run into people which don't expect me since I heard them first. 1st kill from the previous post was someone leaving crack house, he had a teammate inside so I was creep walking around trying to get an angle but I've ran out of nades so I couldn't properly clear it. 3rd guy was traversing construction site when I was looting crack house and I've sniped him. It's still not a hold W chad playstyle but it's way more fun than what I did while doing insomnia (sat on the eagle nest next to new building for the whole raid).

Yea, that's how most people should be playing. I'm not saying you never stop holding W but so much of the playerbase will never mix up their playstyle and will always be extremely passive and will be terrified to move if they feel like there's another player within 300 meters of them.
There's times to play fast and times to play slow. Most people only play slow and it's lame. At the end of the day it's a game and actually playing it will always be far more interesting even if ultimately it's not the most efficient.

Depends on when in the raid. Early in the raid it's great since you can run loot all the rooms and potentially get the drop on anyone coming late to dorms. In the middle or late in the raid it's spooky since you have no idea when some pmc or pscav is gunna jump out of a room and violate you

Both maps have horrendous spawns but I still prefer streets for some reason (even with dogshit optimization). If you get unlucky on lighthouse there are spawns that you can't really do much (furthest back on the beach and the one around minefield)

I think the worst quest in the game might be to kill goons, it's not even a skill issue like with psycho sniper, or some other stupid pvp quest. It's a fucking boss quest but multiplied by 10 since you can't know for sure which map they are on.

I can't really think of any map that makes it impossible for a very early pvp if both spawns decide to race towards each other. The least guilty of that is either customs or woods, but even on these maps I had an engagement in like first two minutes. The most fucked spawns are on lighthouse and streets and I really can't decide which one is worse. Then probably interchang/reserve and then shoreline, I've seen many people complain about shoreline but I mostly avoid pvp on that map and don't go for points of interest. GZ has its own issues but that's because the higher lvl version has too many players on it

Shoreline fucking sucks because there's not enough room on the northern side of the map to spawn people there. I mean, they theoretically could spawn people there but BSG clearly doesn't want people getting into the resort within the first 60 seconds of a raid. There needs to be more shit right here. Expand the entire map here downward and create more space for people to spawn and do shit here so that the entire lobby doesn't spawn next to each other on one side of the map.

I feel like they want resort to be kinda like mall on interchange, but the map is too big to traverse if you get cucked by spawn. I never really know how to play this map considering there is literally no other point of interest, if I'm questing I don't want to visit resort but there are zero other places to visit. Whole coast is empty, even pier with its 2 safes is never looted because there is only 1 way in and out.
Now that I think about it, the only place where I experience pvp is in resort or early battle in weather station (which in itself is fucking weird considering there is nothing worth fighting over).
Compare this shit with woods, it's also a big fucking map but somehow even when the raid is chill I still find people in different places on the map. I've had pvp around scav bunker, usec camp, emercom, scav village.
To me shoreline is a fcuking snoozefest and honestly I'm not sure what they could've change to make it more interesting

They can just reduce player spawns and make it so it spawns you somewhat unpredictably and somewhat far away from other players.. well, then it wouldn't be predictable, anyways just pick one of the two and run with it. No one likes spawn-rushing and dying two minutes into raid, it's objectively bad and it's mutual for literally everyone in the game's playerbase

so they can either just band-aid it like that; or like it's been hauntingly mentioned before - **Make raids not actually session based, but instance based; add in some code so you can't infill into maps when theres players nearby or LOS based; whatever; just test it and make it work**

And then you have a unpredictable and fun tarkov, where you don't know where players are when you spawn in and can't get spawn rushed

The west side of the map doesn't exist. The village is fucking trash and has no loot. Smugglers, pier, weather, and power are all worth looting for various reasons. Smugglers has a plethora of loot and is usually uncontested. Weather has safe, pc, two potential med bags, and some other hideout loot. Power has HEPS and Voruns, both have good loot in them though one requires arena. The area around power is usually a fairly active pvp spot.

Shoreline is a messy map and you're forced to go there over and over for tasks in a short period of time. Fucked up and didn't get the clip of me killing the third guy, we danced around the smuggler base and he ended up getting on top of one of the tents which surprised me. Got a few shots into me but I repeeked when I heard him drop down and somehow managed to pen kill him through the tent. When I killed the first guy I thought he was solo, till those shots came outta nowhere. Then I thought they were just a duo till I heard the guy I killed 2nd behind me kek. On pretty much every map I push towards the "cutoff" of a nearby spawn as soon as I load in. So I'm not beelining directly to the closest spawn, instead I'll quickly think about what path the nearest pawn will take and try to intercept them at a place they aren't expecting as much. Most of the time people are aware of where you spawned too and are most focused on people who beeline straight to them. So once I think I know where the nearest spawn will go, I'll either sprint to a sightline if I know I can get there first (ie I spawn "ahead" of them) or I'll swing around and try to follow their path to come up from behind if I spawned "behind" them. This works because on most maps people aren't watching their backs so soon after spawning in. A good example of this is the eastern spawns on shoreline. Please see my dogshit mspaint diagram. Red lines are the paths I take off of spawn to sightlines and green angles the directions I watch for people as they're coming

1. Book it westward right away then cross the street to set up in cover, then watch east. You can actually get to the pier fastest from here too, so I like to go to the pier office and watch out the window. You can often get people who slow down to watch for west-side snipers

2. Get around the fence corner and book it up to the smuggler camp, just make sure to watch you back as you sprint up for people from spawn nearby. Once you're in the camp you can watch the entire swathe of area that leads to east side and get easy shots on people while they mosey around. Or as you loot the camp you'll hear people sprinting in (that's how I killed that trio in my clip)

3. These spawns can be "following" spawns, I basically never cross the street until I get down towards the bus/tower. If you spawn way up by 3, start pushing south and clear out the other two spawns below. Then once you cross the street still swing so you're skirting the southern end of the map. (cont)

4. These spawns do kinda suck, when I get these I quickly look/listen behind me for like 3 seconds then book it south to fall into the path that skirts the edge like in #3. Be aware that people can be coming from behind you though. I don't like booking it to the weather station right off these spawns because the whole eastern side can see you as you approach.

5. Run through the trees/cover on the southern edge of the weather station hill then set up in the rocks to watch the zone down below.

6/7. These spawns are best to beeline to resort, but I like to swing wide to the other side of the weather station instead. There's a particular rock that I'll get behind, painmed up, then watch eastward as people enter the weather station zone. It's not marked but from there I like to continue swinging wide across the west side of the hill to then look south towards the fields that lead to the pier. The timing is such that you usually catch people who spawned southeast as they sprint towards resort.

Basically all this has resulted in tons of free kills for me, you can get the drop on squads like this

Got a fairly good spawn on the opposite side of river by the smuggler's boat and considering that I got there fast enough (even after fucking up my legs by jumping down the hill) I was lucky af. The fight itself was a fucking mess tho, someone was at the stairs to crackhouse (which I thought was a pmc) so I ran into them basically and I survived only because I had osprey with lvl 6 plates from the pmc I've killed the raid before. Had to magdump my svd with PS ammo into his chest before I downed big pipe, retreated to garage and luckily knight rushed me after I popped etgc and repacked mags. After that I looked around for birdeye and caught him laying prone watching the entrance to the garage.
I even managed to snag loot off them, 3 fucking 100 round boxes of M61.

Good players aim head level but ammo penetration values still come into effect. Your claim that ammo doesn't matter because you can simply just "shoot head" but this dude bonked me in the head earlier this wipe and it bounced because he was using M855. If he had been running 55a1 on scout or even 56a1 on assault I would've been dead. Ammo is the most important thing when it comes to killing people. You don't need to worry about hitting someone in the head when you can more reliably 2 shot them in the thorax instead. BSG specifically lowered available armor choices in order to decrease TTK in arena this wipe.
Unfortunately this also means you're somewhat correct about the 1 shot bolt actions. Very frequently you're stuck quick peeking angles baiting shots because some cunt with an AXMC is running around thoraxing people with AP. While occasionally fun and the only way to really make bolt actions viable in Arena it's also really fucking annoying and lost it's novelty for me very quickly. I think it's fine that it exists in Arena but I very much hope they do not bring these new rounds to the base game and leave AP as FiR only.

Then I stalk the inside of those buildings looking out into the open concrete area for other people who spawn nearby and are sprinting through. From there you can hop from building to building. Most cheaters aren't blatantly using things like aimbot or godmode, they're running radar or walls. Having information on player positions is massive and is harder to detect unless they're being obvious about it like staring into a wall and tracking someone through it.

Don't have a specific tier list but from what I've watched anything that has lvl 3 soft and lets you put in side plates is pretty much S tier. pic rel is probably the best, but shit like cpc, gzhel, thor, bagariy, zhuk (emr), ana m2, korund is nearly as good. Be aware that zabralo/redut are too heavy and movement debuff is too severe to make them top tier.

First off, almost every single USEC would have joined up with the Rogues by now. There's no reason they wouldn't. Safety in numbers and all that.

In my experience the stories of the high-risk areas like labs are often worse than the reality. I used to be pretty nervous going into sweaty areas like lexos, labs, dorms, etc but once you give it a couple runs you'll get the hang of it. You've got to be on your toes for sure but just remember a lot of the people in there are just as spooked as you are lol. Just like any other part of tarkov, knowledge is the real power so the more lessons you learn in each raid the stronger you'll become. Even if you die, take some knowledge with you.

I did two raids this morning, The first I got extract camped at the damaged house by some test driver 30 minutes into the raid, and the second I got beamed from some guy just prone in the cinema courtyard. There's just too much fucking visual noise on streets. Near cinema especially, if I'm running away from lexos and have to cross the wide open area, it's impossible to at a glance see if anyone watching that area. Yeah I actually think goons are one of the easiest bosses in tarkov to kill. I popped knight and birdeye in the smuggler camp for free just by letting them get hung up on all the corners in that place. Their aggression is what makes them easy, the other bosses that just sit in a dark corner are so fucking annoying, somehow I never get my nades right and I'm totally unable to get them to reposition in my favor.

Just took some shots, the rock is 660m away. With the old March it was 7.52 mils, now it's ~11. The old multiplier used to be 2.80 based on my tests, now it's ~4.10.
