Why would your skill be reliant on taking damage in a game with minimal heals, why does it take so long to actually do so the boss will have moved away by the time it goes off? I'm guessing the idea is that like you're supposed to let small enemies hit you, then save the hit for the bosses? But even then it's not worth it
And the ultimate, it was absolutely more of a hindrance than a help, I legitimately felt like I was sabatoging my ream by using it

Holy shit just tried stuff out on the dummy and found out the "Boosts Attack Power of Added Affinity Attacks" on Golden Dew and Night of the Lord stack for 1.10 * 1.10 = 21% more affinity damage
Not only that, but any pure affinity weapon like when you get a Sacred X or Flame Y weapon you also get 21% more damage straight up, so not only when you have an affinity enchant buff on. It also increases Ash of War skill damage that are affinity based like Glintstone Dart, Blade of Death, or Taker's flames

You're in one shot range at level 7 so the risk of doing multiple death runs is very high and he's tanky as fuck so you're going to probably spend 5 minutes on him. May as well clear the upper part of the castle then come back and steamroll him in 2 minutes instead with little risk when your level is higher

I got like 2k hrs in Elden Ring and all I know is how to get flasks and how to get gear of a specific element . I know to go into a mine and kill the troll for a level 2 smithing stone. They didn't change his poise so you can still charged heavy+ charged heavy into a stun, whack him a couple of times then as he gets up hit his head and repeat. I try to fight easy bosses for buffs and some runes. I kill trash mobs that take 1-2 to kill because it seems like a good deal rune wise. It's 1k per mob for no effort so I think it's worth it.

Just slapping endure and using a bigger weapon makes her fold, allowing mashing R1 into her like you're playing Skyrim. The guy isn't even using an optimized loadout or tons of consumables you can stack. You can't exactly do that in NR, not even with Raider. Heliostor, Libra and Fulghor are harder than her.
She is the classic Lady Maria or Friede, both of which aren't hard at all if you're using anything larger thant a straightsword and any build has access to such weaponry.

How does Arcane status scaling work in Nightreign?
Testing in the training area actually surprised me as even weapons with no ARC scaling or infusion whatsoever do get extra status with Executor as long as they have any status that scales with Arcane.
Even status greases seem to scale with the character's stat regardless of which weapon they're put in.

And it seems to affect status that aren't even related to ARC in base Elden Ring like Frost and Rot.

He's a much better character than I initially thought.

If they don't come to your ping they'll come to the evergaol opened message. If they don't come then you can run from the evergaol and nothing was really lost. It is a legitimate strat for anything but Heolstor. It is a very simple strategy that only needs to find a +1 stone or buy it from a merchant and hit the mines for the +2 then you are completely done your build and can do anything and take anything in loot drops to experiment.
It only has merit if you know you can beat the nightlord as a player or group anyway. If you think the +2 poison/frost (and sometimes bleed) starter is a liability don't try it.

Why not? When upgraded to purple it's damage is on par with actual purple katanas. And the ability to apply three status effects at once (with power boosts from poison and frost too) is valuable enough to sacrifice one passive effect.
The only real issue with this build is that you won't be able to exploit nightlords' elemental weaknesses (which can be pretty important for some of them).
