I have been extremely underwhelmed by the t34. It's gun can barely pen heavy armor despite being huge and even when it pens it does apcr damage. I had way more fun in the jumbo Pershing, it's armor is better and it oneshots stuff when you do pen.

Yes. If you see it, you can demolish it. Just Cause limits you to the select few enemy structures and absolutely nothing else. I also really liked the faction stuff and the sheer diversity of military vehicles it grants you access to, it's basically War Thunder at home since Venezuelan forces, China AND the US all have entirely non-overlapping suites of vehicles that cover all of the bases - from jeeps to APCs to IFVs to MBTs to SPAAs to SPGs to scout helis to attack helis to patrol boats (including ones with AShMs), which Just Cause also lacks since it only has one faction's worth of vehicles and didn't even have tracked vehicles at all until 4.

I watched a replay of a guy who got 21 kills and it was like his tank was invisible. People drove right past him or looked in his direction then looked away. Planes flew right over him. He finally got killed because an m22 thought he would be helpful sitting next to him and magically people stated shooting at them. i'm not sure entirely how those players avoid getting strafed/bombed but one factor i'm thinking is that if they're using cheats allowing them to basically kill any tank they see, they likely don't need to focus on staying in cover to avoid tanks, and instead focus on hiding from planes, which was something i noticed when i encountered one those players and i did try to strafe him
