But shaking up the status quo with Bananza is something that Nintendo would specifically care about considering the DK push that is going on because of how much of DK is influenced by Rare. They're keeping the Rare characters, but altering them to fit their vision to make DK something that's more their own.

Since it's definitely made by the devs who developed Mario Odyssey and they seem to be carrying over the singing trait I wonder if this game will connect to it. Also while lore is the last thing on Nintendo's mind the developers definitely knew young pauling would cause confusion even for people that don't care about the lore. I mean it completely recontextualizes their relationship even if you throw out cranky as the original DK but if you do that then you have to explain DK jr. which makes it still confusing. I don't think you have to no the lore to be confused by this and I mean no Mario game ever messes with the relationships like this. I think it will be reasonable explained in game since they seem to respect previous DK games. My guess is it's like a next generation Pauline which fits well since DK is a different generation from the original DK. Though of course it could be a reboot of all DK lore since it feels like it would change everything.

This is not supposed to antagonize any particular anons, but be a criticism of the way many different people act here. If you want this general to improve then you can read this and perhaps reflect on your own behavior and whether the way you act is good. And suggest possible ways to prevent further pointless arguments.
What's probably the biggest problem of this general is that a lot of users are either from /v/ (so usually newfags) or offsite and don't understand the psychology of many 4chan natives. Most anons are extremely autistic and will continually respond to people out of obligation and can't resist the temptation, because to them if they don't reply that means they're allowing the other person to win.
The tourists don't understand this, they think the other retard is replying because they're trolling or something like that, and perhaps due to narcissism they think they're better and not also a problem by replying back. So often these really pointless and stupid arguments break out because people refuse to act nice to each other and understanding on how not to trigger the retards. Especially accusing each other of trolling really enrages people and causes them to be unable to stop posting to defend themselves.

This is why I don't even bother posting my opinions here anymore, I don't want some retard to get me to argue with him for hours and for him to continually say I'm the problem and accuse me of trolling just because he didn't like what I had to say. On other boards this doesn't happen so often, you'll find that if it's a pointless argument like what happened here then after about a dozen posts both anons will just insult each other and move on.
This isn't how this general originally was. You used to be able to say whatever you wanted, say the most retarded and clearly provocative opinions and people wouldn't care and would probably laugh at it or reply with a reaction image. At some point a narcissistic faggot began replying to people over pointless nonsense inciting very needless arguments and depicting himself as the righteous thread defender who was stopping the trolls from trolling everyone. It's practically concern trolling and doesn't improve anything. Apparently others began copying this behavior, and then it just sort of became established as ordinary posting in this general. So now you aren't allowed to have fun or post anything controversial. I'm not sure when it started, but maybe 2020. It was quite a nice community before that.
So think about that if you'd like to improve this general, especially if you are involved in any of these arguments.
I think the problem is that we're only a Mario general. We don't have enough traffic to snuff flame wars out by burying them under other posts. For that reason I think that we need to either revive nintyg or make a swg (Switch General).

Weird discrepancy between Pauline's render and in-game model.
The top holes for her arms and head are clearly cut out of the fabric on her render, looking just like the torn edges on the bottom of the dress. This gives the impression of a much larger dress that was modified to fit a child.
But the in-game model, while the overall damage is more subdued, those top holes look don't look makeshift at all. They look properly and purposefully sewn in, and don't resemble the bottom tears at all. It's especially noticeable in cutscenes. This gives the impression of it always having been a child-sized dress that was torn off on the bottom for ease of movement.
Adding to the confusion are the oversized pants, paired with the perfectly form fitting black undershirt.
Weird.
