If you're attacking him and low stam, and he begins the really big retard AOE storm, even if you start running at the very first sign of it you can't make it out in time.
He heals when he grabs so the Guardian was just a free lifesteal chew toy for him. He basically remained at half health the entire time because of that regardless of how much damage we did.
