Ive recently had more success switching to a raid style single target. The reason being that as solo dps you are rarely taking on large packs in a sustained way, they usually melt quickly and you are left with an elite or high hp mob that takes up the bulk of your combat time.

Unironically the hardline stance on it is from Teldrassil. The game presented a cold war status from vanilla through cataclysm, MoP was world war mode, WoD and Legion cold war mode, then BFA blew it wide open.

I think you're conflating various archer heroes (ie Windrunners) with Hunters, and that's exactly the problem with Blizzard as well. Hunter has become a hodgepodge of anything that uses a ranged weapon. That's not the original class fantasy at all, it was clearly defined.

The One-Button is a good thing. If you are newfren you can now learn easy! If you suck it will help you play gud and then git gud. If you are doing trivial content it is giga-comfy. If you are gud it doesn't affect you.

There are zero negatives. I did some TW dungeons using this today and it for sure doesn't play as well as me nor can it do the things I can but if you weave it into your rotation while your main focus is on something else, even for a GCD or two, then this is quite an interesting little tool.

It is for sure a whole new game. Old wow officially died last Tuesday. That much is clear.
