I think an overlooked aspect of Canto 7 was Camille and how he affect Don’s image of Fixer as a profession. In part 1 the whole big meeting was to force Don to see that Fixers are fucking shitty people who don’t care much for justice with Camille laughing at Don’s stupid delusion. But in part 3, that same man did not even hesitate to corrode himself to buy everyone else time to escape
