The way to avoid this was to be transparent with the economy, and also not be so ridiculously heavy handed with the kikery.
They can still fix it, but they have to act fast and pull a devs listened before people lose interest.
The biggest problem is that you don't have a functioning deck starting out unless you get lucky/spend money/play artifact or roach.
The second biggest problem is the reduced liquefy gains, but we don't know how hard they're compensating that with recurring event rewards. The rest of the stuff is honestly acceptable, and the number of pulls you get probably isn't that terrible if you factor in daily packs and park keys, but nobody's done the number crunching, and we're missing data for stuff like park keys and event rewards.
