The game never gets 'hard' but you're less likely to run into that issue, both cause the bosses health goes up and also that specific dungeon cutscene stands out for how long and specifically plot relevant it is, later on longer stuff is for after the boss goes down. I think if you tell people its your first go most people will respect you taking the time.

The double xp shit is a meme though, yes, but at least it also means that leveling crafters and gatherers is only half the effort for you, thus cheaper/less grindy. Another silver lining is later on there's incentive to have each role leveled, too.

It can semi throw off your rotation but if it's in a bad spot, you can always hagakure or however it's spelt and gain juice before the burst and go into the burst with more optimal alignment
