Kaoru has a Level Cap of 38 and Wichita of 35. They're both skilled at magic and melee, but are so below Medusa they're basically irrelevant in this fight.

5D has good CGs, actually better than VI I think. VI suffers from overshooting the scope, they definitely ran out of dev time and rushed the game at the end so the art suffered as well. On one hand you get some "scenes" that just show a picture and last a few seconds, because they drew a picture but didn't finish the story in time. On the other hand, some art is rushed with bad anatomy or a potential h-scene was simply cut for time.
SR's art, writing, and development cycle were all simply better than VI's so not much surprise there
imo Quest is where the h-scenes actually became good because the change in writers actually made the h-scenes have erotic text. SR and earlier, the text isn't very hot, it's more comedic or brutal depending on what it is.
IX and 01/03 are the peak of quality. The remakes in particular go the extra mile, with Gyokai's art and the VA.
Rance X is another game that had a gigantic scope so the artist was stretched thin. There are a few scenes that don't even have a picture or just fade to black, or they happen off-screen but you could tell there was an idea for a scene. The game is an incredible achievement but you can tell a FUCKTON of time was spent drawing naked portraits instead of CGs.
