Spamming spells from the back is the most effective way of dealing massive damage and if you're far away dodging the boss is actually kinda easy once you get the rhythm, the problem with melee is the same as all dragon bosses = The camera

Most randoms seem to be doing crater or rot woods. Crater is a "free" legendary while woods is just a boss rush.
Also the higher rate of double bosses seems to be an everdark thing. I was noticing that even on the previous patch (when playing everdark through mods).

We had the woods event and we went through all 6 bosses, I just spammed charged Collapsing Stars and destroyed everything in 15 seconds
Against Adel I was doing like fucking 5% of his HPs per cast, damage was fucking nuts. Everytime my allies took aggro, it was easily 15-20% of his HPs gone. Shit lasted less than 2 minutes and only because of the storm wasting time.
As long as you have people that can take aggro at least part of the time, it's absolutely braindead

Duchess is one of the highest skill floors and skill ceilings in NR. Okay I'm an idiot, so I apologize for asking stupid questions. But Duchess is my favorite character because of her appearance and I love the fast thief archetype. I know she has pretty good FP and her INT stat is just as good/better than her DEX stat. There is a 1 point difference, but I assume the A scaling on Int trumps the B scaling +1 stat point on Dex?

So my understanding and typically how I play her is to find a good staff with good R1 and R2, and two daggers, then the rest of my weapon slots should go to useful passives. In combat I weave between the staff and power stance daggers, since I have a relic that gives FP on dagger hits. And the L1 when having two daggers is a lot of attacks, also very good for picking up allies. Then you just swap between casting and recovering FP. Is that the general gist of it?

The only "hard" part is deciphering which spells and weapon arts are worth using and deciding what 3 weapons you'll swap between in your lefthand.

Rev's that use their claws have to engage with melee with an infinitely less survivable character and her HP difference is enough that a low/full negation won't take her out of 1 shot breakpoints that Duchess can avoid.

She's a character with a retardedly flexible build path that comes online the nanosecond she gets one good spell (that works on the boss) or a good weapon art to use. While it's a bit miserable if the team damage is low AND your weapon/spell selection is ass AND the shop won't sell you an out, it's still not that bad.
I'm not going to toss shade on other peoples playstyle though.

The guy Ironeye kills in the crypt and Ironeye slitting the throat on his corpse in his ending aren't the same thing.
The guy he stabs is another assassin sent by the Fellowship to kill Ironeye and the rest of the Nightfarers, Ironeye stabs that guy. In the ending the corpses are the 8 corpses from the crypt in the basement that are the original 8 nightfarers, interred there so they can fight the nightlord forever until they find a way to solve the issue.

Realizing restage can be used in basically any animation really bumped it up in my rankings. Realizing you can trigger it while still invincible during a backstab to soak up the extra damage is too good.

Executor’s Ult has a lot of good going for it. Can really help with easy camp boss kills early on because it has such high stun and knocks smaller enemies over, it’s great for revives and it functions as a pseudo heal.

But when another class rolls they get to hit back with their high damage weapon, while on Executor you have to swap to the equivalent of a white quality weapon with no status effects. And other characters build up stance break faster while dealing damage while on Executor you're supposed to parry to break their stance and it takes way longer.
It's cool and fun to do but it's really not very good at all.

I think its fine mostly, but it would be cool if they added a multiplier for multiple parries in a row. Like if you swap to the stance for a quick parry then back to the fight, I think the current stance damage is fine for that. But if the enemy does a 5 hit combo on you and you parry it all, each parry should do progressively more stance damage so at the end of the combo he's staggered.
