There has been a influx of newkeepers lately and knowing the reset is at "10:00 UTC" doesn't help that the entire game's timer is set on UTC-5, which is constantly shown inside the game and official media. People from all over play r1999, many in places where UTC hasn't replaced GMT in people's mind, so it's helpful to have a timer at hand until you learn the time difference with your time zone. I myself had no clue what UTC was until I saw it in this game.

I strongly disagree. I had been saving shells for it only to find out it was gone with this patch, and now it's back but I only found out because I was buying some candy for my critters, the info is nowhere in news or the calendar.

I tend towards being verbose, and my post was a wall of text already so I did a review before posting to trim it. Unilogs, Clear Drops and Crystal Drops are the main currencies for summons, garments, profile portraits, and travel scrapbook options, but there's also Old Tickets, Wildernes Shells, and Thoughts in Entirety, which players (specially new ones) might want to save in case they align with upcoming ways to spend them.

So, I trimmed those six and a further explanation to "gems and other currencies" since it perfectly sums the primary (which are all jewels) and secondary ones (which are wildly different materials). I don't play any other gacha games on my PC (my phone can't handle r1999's space requirements), so no clue what you and the others might be referencing.
