Nightfall hourly event + weekly quest gives you a token to buy a champion item
Tier 8 delve with a bounty map gives you a heroic item
You can spam delves after that for champ gear and idk what nightfall gives, maybe veteran warbound stuff
Pinnacle cache quests give you veteran gear, you can do 3 of those a week
Tier 11 delves drop mythic gilded tokens and you could probably get enough between this week and next week to craft a 681 item (needs 90 tokens)
Undermine zone main story ends with you killing gallywix for an enchanted heroic token so you can craft a 658 item and requires zero crests
You can always spam m+ dungeons, do normal raid or whatever.
Also if you have renown with the different factions you can visit the quartermasters and see if they have any crests or valorstones you can grab to upgrade this season's gear

Been watching a lot of these zone lock videos and I was thinking of doing something like it but not as extreme. Where I just take my time in a zone.

you get the entry level pvp greens pretty quickly, you should have enough honor just doing random BGs to get 1 piece of green every 1 win or 2 losses. you can get the full set in 1 afternoon of play. they wont make you rated ready, but it will at least keep you from getting blown up. so thats what honor gets you. conquest is from rated pvp queues and unlocks the next rank up of gear. think of it like going from heroic to mythic track gear. bloody tokens are unlocked from doing war mode world content

from there, once you are all set with those, you can begin moving on to rated and if you feel like it, arenas, but arenas are much more intensive on 1v1 micro play, your shits gotta be tight or you'll just get smoked, and i dont know if they have killed it yet but you also would probably need cooldown trackers and shit to be competitive if you want to get that into it.

but if you just want to crack some skulls in casual BGs, grind out the honor for the greens and thats where you start. its quick, and doesnt require you to be good at the game to unlock. the vendor for them in in the dornogal pvp training and target dummy area just off the side, at the southern most gate to the city
