i did it bros... the brant stage is unironically the easiest even though it throws multiple big assholes on you. i dunno what's happening with the monke stage, it keeps healing so it took me 22 minutes to kill it. fleur is the hardest stage but it took me 3 hours to find out i'm supposed to fight her in the middle of the arena, she keeps going to the edge of the arena.

Stay in the middle of the arena (big blue circle), you do more damage to shielded characters when you are in it. Don't go inside a red circle that moves around the edge, it will either give Fleur more shield or make you lose HP.
When Fleur hits you with her attacks she gets a small shield, so avoid that as much as possible.
If she has shield you can only deplete her Vibration Strength (white bar under HP) by parrying

What I like about this game is both types of investment are good ways to keep characters you like in the mix.

Dups will hard carry you in the face of powercreep even if you do have skill issue, while investing time getting better playing the character will net you the same result f2p.

You're assuming phrolova is a selfish dps though (which seems unlikely given that she seems to work off-field), so if her outro buffs roccia you'll lose quite a lot of the team dps by using sanhua rather than roccia. And lose the grouping that will make the team super comfy.

It doesn't matter for me though, since my roccia S2 will work far better for this team than any alternative anyway, even assuming phrolova doesn't need the echo dmg (plus I legitimately doubt phrolova forte would demand one specific character to fill in less than 2 rotations, that would be possibly be worse than zani, so she probably also deals echo dmg herself or doesn't need it at all).

Even without optimal team line-ups and with no dedicated weapon shit can be cleared easily by small Cartethiya's resonance skill, it just might take longer but only by a dozen seconds per fight or so.

Throw some random wishes towards elf and if you get her then it is good (and potential team roster futureproofing), if you don't then it's not a great loss either.

By which I mean, yes - you can have a large world map with teleporters, etc., but it's never really the focus, and the nature of live service means areas tend to open up one by one rather than being all "open", i.e., accessible from the start, in any order. Likewise, the games almost always end with energy burning in combat arenas or fights in said combat arenas. It'd be interesting if Wuwa (or somebody) actually came up with an endgame mode that was focused on the open world itself

Someone in the previous thread said we need one more button for kits and I agree. Thanks to fortes, concerto, and echo skills we already have more combat complexity and variety than other open world gachas but adding just one more button allowing for one extra “skill” in each kit would do so much for making this games combat feel even more engaging than it already is.
And the thing is we already have a character that uses an extra button in her kit so it’s already possible and doable. This character is Ciaccona btw she uses a completely new button to do the standard charge shot that older characters had.

Regardless there are open worlds that require to main quest to unlock new parts of the map (gravity rush, the new spider man games and the predecessors like infamous, and even red dead redemption you had maps that you needed to unlock first by advancing the main narrative). The definition is comprehensive because otherwise you get into such feeling based discussions that goes nowhere. Elden ring has checkpoints in the main narrative to unlock new areas like Nokron, Leyndell, azula (outside of a very restricted teleportable area) and the snow area I forgot the name, while genshin is basically only inazuma that is story locked, so if we change the threshold of how much you can skip as the deciding factor then genshin is open world but not elden ring anymore.

Right now Wuwa is largely linear and even though the option to skip Huanglong exists... the story still only goes one way and it heavily incentivizes taking a singular route through it. BotW and Elden Ring, by comparison, have moments where you are specifically given multiple objectives in other parts of the full open world, which you can tackle in any order. Which is something both Genshin and Wuwa lack (and goes back to the reason why I think this is a hard problem for live service games in general, since they have to be developed linearly, and people who play the games from the start are going to play them linearly as well)

Genshit then normalized making all new characters limited and Wuwa ended up following it. Reason is simple, FOMO. Waiting for a specific character keeps you playing, and it also allows 50/50 losses to hurt more and keep you rolling
It's a shitty way to do it though, since Genshit keeps all characters in limited banner jail, even those released five years ago

No you would not. Arknights adds new operators to the standard banner as soon as their debut banner ends, with the only exception being the 4 yearly limited operators and any cross-over units. No one rolls for operators they want on the standard banner the pool is too big they only roll on operator rate up banners and other banners they have in the year. Hell they even took operators from like year 1 and 2 out of the standard pool and into their own new pool and still no one pulls on the standard banner.

TL;DR: Even if every character was added to the standard pool after the come out you would still only pull for them during rate up.

I will say with how much work goes into models I kinda get it. No one is spending money on a 4 star. Even the biggest flop of a 5 star still would make more money than any random 4 star they push out. So unless people in number start to demand more 4 star characters it is more cost effective to just make 5 stars and hope more hit than miss

Which ones? I used to play FGO, Priconne, Azur Lane and a couple of others, and in all of them limited characters were the norm. FGO was the worst of them all because you could go 2 full years without a rerun banner for certain characters.
