I played Runeterra for a couple months. The Labs/Path of Champions modes were pretty fun.
I think my biggest gripes with the game was the first person text for everything and champion level up animations dragging on forever. (Imagine if evolving locked you out of the UI for 10 seconds even if it wasn't your turn).
I remember when the weekly chests weren't skippable and it was shorter to exit the client and log back in than sit through the animations...

Haven's definitely one of the weaker classes but it's still perfectly playable. It has a good match up into portal and it's competent against dragon, forest and sword. The biggest problem is that rune gate keeps it.
Abyss is on a whole other level of bad. You have to outplay every other craft in the game to win on it. You maybe beat ramp dragon and that's assuming you didn't make the wrong read and play into storm dragon.

You can open any set you want but the "Rotation" mode in SV1 was only the most recent 4 packs with the oldest set getting rotated out.
Given that our schedule is 1 month -> 1.5 months -> 2 months -> 2 months, it'll take around six months for legends rise to rotate out.
Once Legends Rise rotates out, you won't be able to use any cards from that set in rotation but you'll be able to use them in Unlimited. They might do "Throwback Rotations" in the future like in SV1 where they do old rotation sets but don't expect that in the first years of the games life.
