Rev is just extremely inconsistent and extremely loot dependent. You can have good games on her and even carry rarely. She's just low tier.
There is literally nothing Duchess does that another character doesn't do better. There are no redeeming qualities to this class. Some people post about popping off with her, but it's not the character it's the loadout. Get two status daggers and spam them and watch the enemy blow up, okay half the roster can do that with the exact same equipment. The restage is the only thing she has going for her, and that's just repeating better characters successes.

Wanted to reply to anon on this but I was able to get my partner into Nightreign, and they never liked soulslikes before. It's fairly easy access. Just stuck them on Recluse and we played all the way from Gladius to Night Aspect. It's moderately easy to get into and out of cause of the 40-50 minute session per run.

Aside from shattering crystal, stars of ruin and maybe rancor projectiles being a must for recluse's arsenal (also moon's spells but they're so rare that I have only gotten them maybe on a handful of runs). What would you argue additional spells that rivals these? I'd say comet and carian slicer and sometimes icecrag if the team demands frost. As for incants I'd say bloodboon for bleed, triple discs of light and maybe standard lightning bolt. The other lightning spells really takes a lot of time in comprison to the damage done.

However, unlike any other character in the game, she benefits the most from fp on attack dormant powers or equipment effects due to her fast unique dagger moveset.

She is perfectly adequate at casting spells. Which is just as well because every single catalyst

Its still here since SoNaF still has triple types but they def changed it somehow. SoNaF now turns the weapon magic if you use the azur or fire if you use the firewhirl part of the ash to eliminate the flat resist issue on that weapon.

Nah I play the game for hours a day every day still. Playing with /erg/ wasn't fun is all. Talking about the various things in the thread was fun, but seeing how you lot sucked any enjoyment out of the game after maybe 2 days was a chore to deal with. I found out the same thing in AC6 threads when that was popular.

Rally is nice to have, but as far as I'm concerned there's practically nothing in this game that you'd want to trade over a damage boost that substantial. I've solo'd Adel a couple times now with both the set-ups in that image.
Also holy shit the stars aligned for pic related to actually roll with three effects that synergise well for one character.

I wasn't playing with them early on when that was the meta. I got to deal with 3v3 where everyone but me was a missile boat doing overboost into the sky then hovering. Maybe 1 other guy was forcing some pilebunker blujay build every once and a while but we wouldn't even fight because it was more fun to watch the stupid boats cruising around doing nothing to each other.
