NTA but I find Tekken actually easier to play. SFVI is so much mind games and it's much harder to UNGA with. Tekken you can just gimmick your way through rank pretty fucking easily and desu defense is pretty easy since every move has a "tell" because of the windup frames (except when it doesn't but those are kinda rare), you can generally tell when something's going high/mid/low even changing strings you can physically feel it.

All other SF6 newcomers are watered down versions of existing characters that are also less popular while failing to attract much attention and have zero weight or impact to the world of SF.
Even Capcom seems to not care much about Luke anymore, I just don't see these characters making it to another game.

It doesn't get more raw 50/50 than throw loops. Strike/throw has its place and should be the primary way to open people up but when you diminish the value of strike mixups with parry in a game with throw loops it leads to some really boring sequences

even though kens throw is a 1f now and hes so far that walking up and meatying is nearly giving up your pressure on block, i still walk up for oki instead of dash up like 90% of the time. throw loops are just so obscenely powerful that its worth risking losing your throw pressure on a blocked meaty. capcom really just needs to get rid of them universally.

The throw loops discourse has gotten even worse since the S3 patch, Capcom will for sure nerf them again. Same with DR, they likely haven’t touched it this patch because the parry rework was already massive. Nerfing the damage of lvl3 is up in the air. The fighting passes have slowed down, we mostly got character release fighting passes since the Bonanza which I’m fine with. We also lit up a fire under Capcom’s ass about outfits and they acknowledged it publicly. The Aespa collab will have a character outfit too. S3 has no guests and a very solid lineup of picks. This year is looking great desu and we’ll most likely get SSF6 next year. This game is in a good trajectory. All the xitter and jappa bitching and moaning is working.

This is my favorite solution and would be the easiest and least problematic to implement. Essentially it means removing throw loops except you wouldn’t have to add more throw iframes on wakeup like SF3 and risk to create unbalanced option selects. Thankfully this also seems the direction Capcom is going for if the Ken nerf and Elena is anything to go by. They just need to make it universal.

It’d feel better and more fair but I don’t like loops period. What if the defender guesses strike and tries to parry again but eats another throw into the same situation? Yes, it is “fair” but shitty to execute and watch.

This COULD solve the problem but it’s not 100%. Basically you’d still have loops but the risk/reward would be more balanced and you’d have more counters. I don’t like this because later on strike could become stronger and people would default to taking the throw again.
