I find the aiming really fucking annoying since you need to CONSTANTLY adjust the distance manually. NAB would have the perfect aiming system if it wasn't so point-and-click - making it account for your ship's movement was a great idea, but also accounting for the enemy's movement was a step too far that completely trivialized gunnery.

I agree, arcade has become the dumping ground for bots because of it's braindead aiming and it's sad. That's what made me move to RB and honestly it's quite nice, I feel like naval RB is the biggest show of how realistic this games systems can be. Having to take into account your speed, the enemy's, if you're moving towards or away from each other, the angle, etc. Once you get it, it's pretty rewarding and you start to appreciate the 2 minute long fights where you're trying to hit certain parts of the enemy ship to finish them off before they do the same to you. And plus, it's a mode where I get to play planes too(plane game) which is nice.

I have rank III+ bluewater for japs/germs/bongs already (and i guess poccnr too since I have the murmansk somewhere but fuck that piece of shit), plus coastal for frogs and italy, so I can do the events already but so far all those trees kinda suck (they are shits after all). us shits seem the least miserable, but fuck grinding another tree to rank III without event points or some kind of reward along the way.
also already have the XP-38G and a bunch of the other designated dunking prems that are fair and balanced by specifically just being rank II so you can't use them for tasks so I'm not REALLY lacking for SL grinders either, but the chaika does have a good SL mult for being a funny meme biplane so maybe I would actually play it? could be useful for grinding up my USSR aircraft slots I guess, since my only USSR prems are the shitfuck tandem MAI and the P-63 which is solid but not very interesting so I never play it that much.

honestly i'm pretty tempted since I love ducks, but it would just be for a GRB lineup (why the fuck would you play a duck in air). 2.3 italy is very solid for low tier event grinds, but not quite as good as 1.3 (where the toldi gets you event points AND is on br). I suppose with the duck I could use that to get into the event and not have to use a slot on the toldi in 2.3, but then I have to not be a shitter for long enough to spawn it in the match instead of taking the toldi at start and having points guaranteed to count (this is admittedly not very fucking difficult at 2.3, but still). downside for the duck is that I very rarely play that range outside of event grinding (I have terminal completionbrain and already spaded and camoed everything there), while something like the chaika would have utility outside of events for SL/xp grinding.

If you like dogfighting it's the best choice Israel has, but the IR missiles it gets aren't that great for the BR and don't have IRCCM, peoeple will flare them pretty easily. Personally I'd prefer a mix of ARH and IR missiles, if it could take two sparrows or something I'd say definitely buy it but it can only carry IR missiles.
