Sekiro for me was a real realization moment. Once I understood how to approach it on my second go around I literally first tried Sword Saint Isshin. That game is probably one of the most expertly designed experiences I've ever played, but you have to listen to it when it says hesitation is defeat.

Sekiro is one of those games where I can tell it's good and have moments of real elation like with Genichiro(iirc), but the process of getting my ass horribly beat until it clicks isn't fun
There aren't any real mitigating factors for skillissue in Sekiro either, like in almost every souls game I wind up using a shield eventually whether it was DaS1 on the 360 or ER now, still can't parry Gwyn

i think i would actually still rather play melee only ironeye who also has no ult over any other character in the game his skill is that good.

Now that I know that Executor's Arcane stat actually affects both the cloud and weapon buff of Chilling Mist, I think that it's pretty much the best possible weapon skill for him to have against anything that isn't outright immune to frost.
It also helps that John Nightreign is the only Nightlord immune to it.

Frost is basically a second bleed that debuffs defenses and works against some things that are immune to bleed like tree spirits.

Day 1 is about clearing easy targets that are in close proximity to you, in an order that makes sense. For example, fort/church into evergaol since you get keys from them. Grab some heals or mage towers if they happen to be where you are going anyway, or choose a different starting route with them in mind. Clear the elemental camps as you see fit.
Day 2: field bosses and castle
Shifting earth events alter the decision making obviously. During Crater for example it makes sense to clear castle day 1 or at least galf clear it.

Yeah the black knife was awesome, really like that special ability on it + holy damage. Too bad even though it was holy, we never got to holy-stagger the boss, not even once. I'll have to read up about the kit and potential builds, I know about the magic use but I wasn't able to find a single good staff. And I also feel like I should really be using the relic that restages the final hit of the dagger combo
