Unlike traditional tournaments where players are locked into a single deck after submitting their deck lists, the Master Duel World Championship 2025 Qualifiers allow players to freely switch between decks. For this tabulation, if the player ran multiple different decks, then the weightage of each deck will be divided by the total decks played. For example, サーモン finished in global rank 29th and played 3 different decks during their Duelist Cup grind, thus contributing 0.33 Millennium Fiendsmith Snake-Eye, 0.33 Primite Blue-Eyes and 0.33 Sky Striker Tenpai Dragon to the overall tally.

Merlanteans is an odd deck, it does it all, from handripping 2-6, hand knowledge that rips any card, summon floodgates, formerly omninegates prior to the completely unfair banning of Bahamut (Toad in the OCG), mass summons from Deck AND GY, chainblocking, negates on resolution foolishing as cost, any and all forms of interaction, mass targeting, destruction, and banishment protection. And yet despite it all, it remains a fair and honest deck and any and all complaints levied against it is simply a skill issue
