I was gonna go Pathfinder Soulrend of the Spiral with this weapon because it has giga ES recovery and also spends 1000/s to proc the staff but I dunno if it's such a good idea anymore...
The beam does tri elemental damage over time not even a hit which seems difficult to scale on the right side of the tree and on Pathfinder and the balls do SOME chaos damage but it's mostly a cold hit

That's how it works, yes. When I was looking through poe.ninja for inspiration that's why I decided Soulrend of the Spiral Pathfinder because I noticed the cost of the skill was nearly 1k ES/s while recovering it all back quickly through that replica flask and endless flask charges with Tides of Time belt.
But now I'm thinking like, yeah with the skill/build you can build up the stacks rather quickly but will the skills you're using off it actually do damage to be worth it with this ascendency?

the short version is that you will be squishy unless you have explode on wands (which are a mirror item so 2+ mirrors, not 200d)
you can use oriaths end but then you dont have progenesis
you can make an explode chest chest but it will offer very little defense if you make it on a budget
headhunter is a good crutch because theres so many mods that give 90 max res or crit immune or a ton of hp / es etc, it also adds a lot of damage. its not just very consistent, especially if you do something that doesnt spawn a lot of rares

It’s good to have tons of random shit. You can really notice the design philosophy was to make the mechanics weird as fuck and needlessly complicated to intentionally confuse the players. This overall helps with the competitive feeling involved with farming items and trading. It’s also nice to have lots of content regardless of how rewarding it is. Like heist, sanctum, betrayal, incursion, and now this new mechanic. It’s a lot of reading and like all the guides suck complete dick dude they’re like almost completely worthless. The correct strategy is to turn off your miners and smelters, honestly. It is NOT worth your gold. Cropmaxxing is the only thing worth your gold because you're guaranteed 1.5 mirror shards every 2 weeks as long as you keep them fed. Of course this league is already over and ain't gonna last 2 more weeks kek.

I've been running expedition for about a week and it feels completely underwhelming. Let's recap

- 50% of the time it is worthless because you don't get the two guys you need to get
- putting the explosives is annoying, you either bite the bullet and go for the big one or waste time placing them
- the monsters themselves are incredibly overpowered for no reward whatsoever, they seem to be giving a lot of essences but this is it
- the monster mods are ridiculous, % heal should not be a thing
- it is not at all guaranteed to get the reroll currency you need, it is disgustingly rare
- meanwhile, the artifacts themselves are not rare, but you can't do anything with them because you don't have rerolls
- the chances of getting something out of Tujen are incredibly slim, most of the time it is 2-4 chaos orbs per reroll, I've only ever seen 2 divines after dozens of rerolls
- expedition logbook encounters feel barren and slow
- the chests after you clear the expedition barely give you anything
- I can't stress enough how rare the reroll currency is

How does it feel to leap slam slowly? I have a leap slam 4link with momentum and rage and faster and to go even faster I have 30AS on my axe and AS on my rings and gloves dude. And I take AS talents. I did like 100 expeditions on jungle valley and got around 80 reroll tokens. You should change your spec around to target their unique monster mods like healing. You’re probably getting like 30c per expedition, which is around average I guess for a content mod. Lol the guy who designed the placement for bombs was such a dick, it’s hilarious. Feeling squishy playing vfos in semi-juiced maps

I'm looking to improve my build but idk what to do, been doing one bomb expeditions and half the time I have to keep running away or get oneshot, especially if I run the scarabs for expedition. It also feels like I can't do 90% of mods on T16.5 like any extra damage mods murder me.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have T1 Life on pretty much every piece. Overlapped res. High armour pieces. Feels like everytime something has projectiles I'll die.

Hello! Like a lot of people, I started as VFoS (currently level 95), and it was fine, but I'm at a point where I'd like to transition into a build that can survive better while doing decent damage, specifically for mapping, simulacrums, etc.

I was considering emiracle's CWS Chieftain build, and also Connor's MSoZ build. I know that they both have portions of the build that are expensive, especially most builds that Connor runs. I have never played either of them, they'd both be new to me, like VFoS was.

Here's what I like doing/things I'd want to do/a wishlist?:

I enjoy mapping, and won't be doing ubers/other bosses

Having something that can do juiced content, such as t17 strongboxes, 16.5 corrupted originator map farm, imbued harvest (which is sort of bossing, yeah?), general map blasting as examples

Having something that can move at least not at a snails pace would be great

I have not tried ultimatum but am willing to try it out - I didn't not like it, I guess?

I enjoy simulacrums as well, especially if they can be done AFK with CWS

Even in softcore, I'm not the biggest fan of dying a lot, so having defenses is great (which is why I'm eyeing up CWS)

I have around 20 - 30d to invest currently, I could potentially liquidate a bit more but that may be pushing it.

Retaliation Bleed Glad

- I had awful luck in the campaign. Leveled with sunder with a 3 link until act 6.
- Switched to esvicerate at the beginning of act 6 and the build started to pop off
- got to tier 14 with only merc stolen gear
- because of lucky block you feel immortal, until something goes through and you just die
- bosses are tricky, you have to get hit to do damage, so you have to know which abilities you can tank if your block fail
- on t15+ damage started to be an issue. I'm not really sure how to scale it for cheap, 20c upgrades instead of 2 div ones
- degens are awful!

I would run this build again next league, I just need to find a way to make a unlucky campaign feel less awful.

Just approaching T16's and struggling every step of the way. I have very little currency so I was hoping the people here could review my current setup and see if there is anything glaringly wrong, or any opportunities for cheap improvements (I have about 50c to my name).

My clear is okay around the T12-T14 range, but slows down quite a bit in T16s and is quite slow on bosses. I also feel kind of squishy despite going the Defy Pain route, which I also think is causing my damage to suck.

It goes in order of importance
Boss > Underground > Blue Marker > Everything else

By doing this you will get 10 reroll currency each time you run a logbook.

Depends what you're doing, all nodes are strong. Personally I like rage nodes more than gore dancer because rage can't be cockblocked by map mods and leech can, but not every build will benefit from the same things.

I rerolled from the same build to CWS and it is absolute kino.

I've been running ulti and expedition (with one bomb) on white tier 16 maps and the div/hour is great. You can afk both pieces of content with the build.

Simu can be difficult with low investment. You need to ensure kosis spawns with a pack of mobs to get the full damage on him, if he is by himself you won't have enough damage to kill him unless you have good gear

All my gear is cheap-ish bar defiance of destiny.

I'm supposed to be saving for a MB but every time I get more than 30d in my stash I get baited by profiles on ninja and spend it all. It has happened 4 (four) times so far. And I'm talking about stupid shit like BVBB sabo.

Man, I really need to switch some passives and cap suppression instead of doing more damage but losing 12% dps feels so bad, I like dps.

The range of wages is so big that you can find workers of higher rank costing less than the previous rank.
