Dynamo refers to the Nightmare Souls as DNA Souls in this particular piece of script. Xtreme 2 released in the same year as X6 and was created by the same team (Xtreme 1 and X5 were developed at the same time from a developer comment). Late into the game, Alia compares Isoc lifeless body to the Erasure Incident. I wonder if they planned more connections between these two games.

I thought X6 had a bad weapon set but now on a replay, there's actually some weapon options that I've been sleeping on. The charged Metal Anchor for example is a really strong screen attack that can instantly defeat a Nightmare Snake or stray Nightmare Ghosts for example. Yammar Option is always considered the most useful weapon in X6 but the charged version uses so little weapon energy and helps so much dealing contact damage to enemies. Ice Burst is not much of an attack and the charged version is absolutely dogshit damage-wise but having a spare platform can be useful if you are using the Falcon Armor and lack the extra mobility that the other armors and Zero have. I've been using Weapon Plus part for X so I don't know how much work it's doing but I like the results. I'm feeling the lack of a wall-piercing weapon that fires straight forward though.

It's possible to get crushed by a Light Capsule in Megaman X6. Getting crushed by one of these metal blocks seem to disable the hitbox of other non-permanent objects while during your recovery frames. Getting crushed by a Light Capsule deals 0 damage but still triggers recovery frames, probably because the developers couldn't foresee this very specific scenario.

Yeah, the hit-stun is basically everywhere when playing as Zero in the PSX games, it's probably just the way the game tells you should move away from an enemy. These actually returned in the ZX games

I like hitstun in games, because it adds weight behind an attack, and makes it feel juicier, opposed to when your blade just phases through something - that's unsatisfying, especially when lacking any camera shake, enemy reaction or juicy sound effects, and it results in weightless MMO combat that I can't stand. Although, I suppose it makes sense for a beam saber NOT to have any hitstun behind it, because it's not physically clashing with something.
However, the hitstun for Zero in X was so insane, I suppose I always internalized it as the game lagging. Good sound design, though

IIRC in the Global, PvP was generally bulkier because they changed how the HP/damage values work there. They boosted the numbers on everyone after a certain point. I remember that Droitclair gained a new exclusive DNA passive with busted effect. Also, her iframes trigger basically twice as often and she got Sprayer mastery and adaptability in the same skill instead needing her first DNA.
