We are told the knight is bad.
Why? Because they're bringing on the roaring by opening fountains.

In chapter 4, we learn that anyone with a knife can open a fountain willy-nilly with zero cooldown, and you can insta-roaring by stacking fountains in one another.

The fact that the knight isn't spamming fountains 100 layers deep in the bunker where no one can stop them is proof that they don't want the roaring and aren't evil.

Cue chapter 7 grand finale.
If it's Wierd route, then the soul instead tracks down Noelle and shit gets even wierder, probably with a bunch of deaths instead of any reconciliation.

Alphys got too much hate back in the day, but her True Lab section blatantly lacks a climax and ends with a whimper because Toby was on a deadline to finish his game. I think Toby would need to really up the feminine options in upcoming chapters if he wants Kris to actually come across as a "they". Kris is basically 99% masculine representation and actions, with 1% feminine outfits.
I personally find it really difficult not to see Kris as a "he". Compared to the amporphous blob that was Frisk where you genuinely couldn't tell wtf it was even supposed to be.

This is cope on both fronts, most monsters don't even know what a human looks like; Martlet had a plan to take Clover innawoods (not saying it's a great plan but better than letting the kid kill himself), and Ceroba has a fucking private estate Clover could live in.
Saying "oh Clover was always gonna get caught by the royal guards" is just handwaving the extensive UTY worldbuilding that provides for exactly opposite that eventuality.

Spamton was thrown in the trash, but was able to become a [Big Shot] within the narrative (and fandom), while Ramb was ultimately discarded by the narrative itself.
