Path of Exile?

Ranking all the farms I tried this league.

Mega bait tier: Ritual, bestiary. Don't run this shit unless you're filling blood vessels for your boyfriend.

Kinda bait tier: Blight, t16 strongboxes. Blight is okay but I would only recommend it if you can afk it. Strongboxes drop a LOT of junk to sort through and ~60c in drops per map is less exciting when your scarabs+chisels+vaals cost you 25c per map.

Actually good tier: Alva, Breach, Harvest. I made over 50 divs off Ambition drops, grace aura effect belts, and magic find belts from running my "bad" Alva temples, and then I sold the good temples. Breach isn't exactly giga money, but you get paid for running exp maps, the breachstones sell instantly without any fuss sorting your loot, and the scarabs to run breach are free. Harvest is probably the best pure moneymaker with guaranteed returns I tried. You always make money on Harvest and lifeforce sells instantly.

GGG blew their load with Affliction. Nothing will ever compete. It's the ultimate league mechanic, maximum difficulty for maximum loot. You could apply 99% damage reduction, 999% crit multi, and 999% extra action speed and people were still trying to cram in every monster they possibly could into the map. You can barely even consider Affliction an actual league mechanic, it was literally just cranking up all the numbers on the base game to a million. What new league mechanic could GGG possibly create that people might consider "good" again? Every attempt at creating something new has flopped.

Well it really depends on your definition of mage. If you want a spellblade or warlock kind of stuff you can definitely make it work in PoE, I mean that traditional spell stuff like fireball or arc are not very fun atleast for me and in the end game they will just be used to trigger other stuff that will be dealing all the damage instead of them dealing the game themselves. D4 you can make almost any sorceress spell work in T4 and can respec in an instant, of course you have to play D4 for that but if you just want chill guy spell flinging stuff D4 is probably better. I always quit a league after upgrades start costing more than like 2 divines because after that any real upgrade ends up costing like 10 or 20 times as much and I can't be assed to farm that much with no upgrades in between. Most the PoB's don't show people taking increased defensive nodes (armor/evasion) with Energy Shield being the exception. But do you just get enough through gear alone to cover what you need? Or is it just the nodes themselves are not enough value to warrant taking it from health/damage.

He’s probably playing snaking, you get punished for using life on that build because your helm does like all your damage. They armor stack but you need so much armor before you can do like normal content comfortably. If you stack life you’ll be doing like 1/4th your own health per hit lol. Its a tough league starter build to do, especially if you’re use to playing trickster that can just dodge and block which is like easy as fuck comparatively. Armor and recouperate is how you use the snaking helmet, and life actually punishes you.

What is the best mechanic to go alongside Delirium?
I specced into Alva and Beyond for obvious reasons, but I wonder if Legion or Breach wouldn't be better. Of course, Breach and Legion are on the other side of the tree, so I'd spend a lot of points on travel nodes or gateway (does anyone even use those? I know I've never)
For scarabs I'm using the cheap Incursion scarabs that add a shit ton of mobs and one +2 rewards deli scarab, but I'm unsure of what to put on the map device craft. I could drop either beyond or delirium chance and force spawn with the craft, but delirium is expensive.
And lastly, what is a good build for this content? I'm leveling a LC for a Inpulsa setup, but I've also been thinking of trying out Exsanguinate Mines.

You do abyss and breach with deli mirror. Deli map mods are like some mega endgame stuff that I haven’t figured out yet. Beyond is alright actually I just throw one beyond scarab in there with my deli mirror scarab and the rest are x2 breaches and you map craft abyssal worm. The beyond boss drops some corrupted crafting orbs that adds like 20c to your loot per run. Every run gets you like 100 sim splinters, a breach stone and plus the regular loot. It’s also the best xp rate I’ve found. And you do this on strand. It’s probably like 1div per map every time guaranteed. Sometimes you get one of the rarer cluster jewels, and the abyssal chest has decent uniques. Plus a chance at a good grasping mail. Theres a pretty good guide online that you can basically just copy it and put your own personal twist on it, it’s just breaches + abyssal + deli mirror. Kinda long clear times though, and you need like a mid tier gear setup like at least 5 divines because deli makes the dudes at the end way harder to defeat.
