Uki Uki Tsuri Tengoku - Ningyo Densetsu no Nazo (Japan) is the biggest piece of shit I've ever tested. There's a garbage buzzing noise that starts when you enter your name. It happens in duck, mednafen and Ares. I can't hear it in the Jap videos on Niconico and I assume they're using real hardware but maybe it's just not picking up on their mics. I want to be 100% certain but it will absolutely not work on a CD-R. So fuck it I guess I'll never know.

It 100% makes a difference once you start getting into poorly programmed garbage. I have a PAL system and 10x is usually fine for PAL and NTSC. For the sort of jank ass Jap games I test I usually have to drop it to X5 or X2 in some cases. But this fishing tripe doesn't work at any speed.

Try updating your Switch firmware. I use v20.0.1 and that works, to an extent. I certainly didn't have Raidou crashing when inputting my name on Yuzu's forks anyway, but sometimes the game might crash after you try to walk a few steps in the overworld after loading your save.

No one's telling you to move from Ryujinx.
Citron is definitely a no go though, and neither is Ryubing's Ryujinx since he's buddies with the Citron fag which means you don't know when he'll pull a sneaky on his entire userbase.

First, it's fuckhuge and I prefer playing in the living room. Two, a hazy purple isn't black so any horror game is assfucked from the word go on any other tech. I've tried local dimming sets and it's all trash tech with terrible artifacts. Three, the response time means less need for strobing. Four, strobing kills VRR (and picture intensity) and input response is king.
To be frank I just don't notice the blur that much on my set. If this factor is paramount to you, I get it though.

A 1060 6gb(~$80) is sufficient for up to 7th gen. ShadPS4 is VRAM hungry so you probably want a 3060 or greater with >=12gb (~$200) for that. Check passmark scores for AMD/laptop/APU equivalents. Anything beyond that's gravy. Bear in mind anything >=7th gen is not guaranteed to work properly at all. Some stuff's great, some stuff isn't.

GTX 980M 8GB faggot here: Do not trust this motherfucker.
A GTX 1060 can't do shit to play modern slop, and it will choke hard if you try to emulate PS2 with Parallel-GS. Forget about 3D Saturn games with CRT-Royale shaders; ShadPS4 is going to run like fucking trash. Man, you won't even be able to emulate Metal Gear Solid 4 on current Elad's bullshit on RPCS3.

>PGS
I have an AMD APU equivalent to a 1060 and it runs PGS fine. Not multiplied to the max, though. Like 2-4x.
>Royale
Is totally fine on a 1060. Saturn has no bearing
on GPU and is completely CPU driven otherwise. I've used this shader on a this tier of GPU plenty of times.
>Shad
Already said 3060 min for that.

Chill your tits. I'm talking about the minimum card for up to 7th gen and a 1060's fine. Elad3 leans more on CPU than GPU unless you uprender. Obviously one wants a more powerful card if you can get it. I'd say a 3060 12 is the bare bare minimum one should buy if they can. If one ONLY cares about up to 7th and no slop, a 1060 is fine. Even my APU runs plenty of slop and can run Bloodborne at 720/30.

Anonymous No.528852190 >>528852423

FSR is not at all a fit for SD content and pixel art. It will smear things terribly and ruin the image before it's even processed by the CRT shader. Decent shaders like Royale, GeomDeluxe, and MegaBezel are sufficient without FSR applied first. FSR is best used with a 1080P source upscaled to 4K. It's meant to neaten up an already fairly high res image.

I would think 7th gen would be easier with the advent of quality control and 99% of games are made on the same 3 engines. The reason there's so many weird broken Jap games on PS1 is because game development was a side hustle for a lot of companies. One nice thing about PS1, even with the janky software, is that it's such a potato that we can emulate what it's doing to the cycle without HLE, compatibility layers, and other approximate crap. 7th, in particular, will probably remain worse emulated than >=8th a decade from now because it's all exotic PowerPC shit instead of a locked down ARM/x86 box.

Anyone else using Batocera? I would consider my question emulation related. Has anyone else used the wine runners for windows games? Games run incredibly smooth, but at a price. Input lag. I can't get rid of it using wine for windows games. Works perfectly fine in Endevouros and Windows. (sorry, but windows definitely wins in this department, Endevouros is so close it doesn't matter for me.) Any suggestions? I use a mangohud command in linux to either disable vsync or force a certain vsync method, sometimes a framerate limiter or whatever else I might need. I don't see an option like that in Batocera. I'm on the latest stable batocera with a 6750xt and a 7600x with 16gb of ram. Just curious because input lag is pretty bad on linux. Using x11 helped a lot, but vrr won't activate correctly most of the time.

Finally got it to work, but the setup was rather convoluted. I basically had to use this program https://github.com/Seregon85/GCConverter/releases in order to convert the .gci into NTSC-U. Then I had to go into Tools > Memory Card Manager and create a blank memory card. (It's very picky about how you name it, the naming scheme is something like "blank.USA.raw".) From the same manager, I had to import the converted .gci. But that's not all, I had to go into Options > Configuration > GameCube and change Slot A from "GCI Folder" to "Memory Card," This was when I had to select the blank I just imported the save from, and it worked just fine.

First, stop. Upscaling means something else. Every emulator upscales. I know it rolls off the tongue but it doesn't mean increasing the game's resolution like you think it does.
Second, basically no Saturn emu uprezzes because the emulators that do it have serious problems with both the core emulation and increasing the resolution in many games.

Funny thing is I actually bought a used ps4 just to play co-op with my friend after I showed him. So now after we finish playing on console I go back to booting chadps4. It's the only game I wanted to play in the ps4.

Games like this are mental crack to me. I love them so much. Here's an open area full of stuff to collect and activities to do. Battle for Bikini Bottom, Psychonauts, Banjoe Kazooie, Mario Odyssey, Stubert Little on PS1 and 2, Tinykin, Chibi Robo etc... They don't make them anymore because leftists hate themselves and ruin everything.

Grow Home/Up, Goat Sim 1/3, I Am Bread, Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom, A Hat In Time. Not trying to convince you modern/indie games are based or anything, just legit trying to give you new things to play along those lines. Yooka-Laylee too, but I wasn't a huge fan. It Takes Two has that miniature world thing going, but do you have a friend to play it with, Ciggy? A cigarella perhaps? Toy Commander for the DC was also neat in the way you describe.

Kao the Kangaroo round 2 and the newer one with the guy that sounds like a eunich. Jak and Daxter, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. Toy Story 2. Little Gator Game. Spyro 1 2 and 3. I've played all of them and my niche is not being satisfied.

What'd you think of Psychonauts 2?

I didn't like it as much as the first one. The stages were shorter and less intricate. I liked the story a lot though. I also pirated it as soon as it released so I played a quite buggy version.
Richard Steven Horvitz hasn't lost a step. He can still do the voice as well as he did 16 years ago.
